i can drift my subaru STI in a minute and 23 second on the Trial Mountain, does anyone have a better and faster time then me with all the other cars, not modified cars, only the ones u buy ok please tell me ur setting, i wanna go faster!!!!

This guy sounds exactly like that akina_86 guy that posted his trueno SS times like 8 times.

I haven't tried with any car other than the trueno SS and you can’t buy that car so it non applicable.

And when you say "not modified car" you mean no race cars, cus there is no way a stock subaru can be that fast it would have to be modified with tiers and a big turbo and everything else.

so how much HP does that Subaru have?

the subaru has like 500 something, try to upgrade yours, cause i dont really careless about horse power, its about skills and the setting, but i want a faster way of any FR cars that has lower then 400 HP, so tell me ok

oh hey what i mean not modified means like not those GTR cars, the ones that already modified like the LM or the GT1 or one of those one million dollar cars, not those alright

0kay, I did 15 laps and got a time of 1:21.082 in a fully modified Subaru impreza STI I’m sure there is a lot of time left to take off I think maybe 1:18's or ever 16's are possible but not by me. HP does matter a lot, as does skill but you can obviously go faster with more hp as long as you have the skill to handle it.

well thats true too, my friend got his trueno and hit 1:20 and when we race with my STI vs his trueno, i always lost on the third lap, because i dont know why, hey can you send me ur setting of ur STI then, well if u want to alright, hey try to drift on all the silvias ok

well this is what im using now, but i haven't worked on them very much and the car still understeers more than i would like in some places and then oversteers in places where i don't want it to oversteer.

Is your friend akina_86? cus he got his trueno SS in th 1:20's also. The trueno SS handles a lot better IMO, has more grip but the STI has more power and you can slam of the gas with no worries of spinning out cus it's AWD, I'm faster with the STI than i am with the trueno SS, though that's because the STI has about 200 more hp.

I have drifted all the silvias but not for speed only for fun and style.

i haven't done trial mountain seriously yet but can anyone better 1:15:531 on seca in an R34 skyline?

i just bought the best one from the shop, 40,000 credits or something, bumped up the horsepower to over 1000 and made it drift.

i'll try trial mountain tonight though ;)

paul

I got a 1:19.xx with my Mazda RX-7 Type RZ....
it has 479HP...............I can go alot faster with more HP
but I like the challenge of trying to get fast drift time with
a car that is not fully modded....

-------Keisuke.....

very cool for you guys, well Akina_86 is my friend i think, cause he told me his name, he knows more about drifting then me, cause everytime beat him, he goes home and come kill me again, but i always have the chance with my subaru until the last lap, so maybe i'll try the setting for my subaru, well with the skyline R34 i can make it in 1:10 on Trial Mountain, you just got to use a lot of heavy braeking because its too heavy, well the Mazda Type RZ is a fast drifting cars, well i hit my Silvias to 1:25, thast my fastest time, because i race for fast drift, i can show of but i like it fast and good, damn i want to make a 6 player drifting video, but i need 3 more drifter, maybe next time!!!!!!!

did one lap of trial mountain yesterday, thought i drove pretty well and got 1:23, 1:22 sounds like a good time, but 1:19 sounds insane! :D heh

i wish there was a direct way of comparing cars though, the time attack thing is good but they should have the ability to choose MANY more cars together with drift options...

out of those currently available i just race the deep forest skyline one and pretty much ignore the rest. but even that is only grip driving.

paul

Yeah 1:19 is definitely possible, I put in a good 50-60 laps with my trueno SS and got 1:22.0XX (and 1:20's are possible) and only 15 with the sti and got 1:21.0XX so there is still loads of room for improvement.

The 6 player drifting video sounds good, but have you tried twin drifting with 2 people yet? It’s really hard, I have mostly done it with 4WD cars cus they are easier to drift with, I can only imagine the impossibility of 6.

h3y ! it's okay to be cocky as long you are really highly skilled. i say that's the point of slow drifting. move on with all those JGTC cars. we drift to have fun, so don't be limited by horse powers. i personally drift midfield under 60sec R34Mspec 1200hp, and i'm having fun.

R34M-spec it's in the game i think. i didn't win it but got it from a game save online.
ahh. a V12 under the hood. with manufactory stage4 turbo upgrade. it came out 1200hp.

r34 m-spec with a v12? forgiveme if i sound like a newbie but is this a form of hybrid vehicle?

nissan dont make v12's as far as im aware, or even v8s

in fact, do they even make v6's? i thought the skyline had a straight 6...

paul

heh heh heh. it's a hybrid. i feel being cheap to compare drifting with you guys since you have low HP.

i'm cocky. i 100% sure you will scream after seeing my R34 drift.

Your R34 drift is too slow, it can go fast on straight corner, but its too heavy to drift fast, u cant compare it to the TRUENO, because in real life, the fastest drifter drives a Trueno, just like the Initial D movies, its all true, the lighter the faster, if you watch Initial D movies, you will understand all about drifting techniques ok, but if im wrong then you can say so, but im saying what i know only!!!!!!!!!!

Hey me and my friends did a lot of twin drifting like side by side racing, its hard because if the person mess up in front, then both screws, but we're making twin drifting right now, we're practice and it came out pretty good though, im gonna do a video of twin drifting and i know i can do it, but i need a fast internet connection to download here so everyone can share, because i want everyone to do the same too, its more fun!!!!!!!!

woohoo, I’m excited to see the twin drifting, I haven’t seen any twin drifting out there besides to movie that I made.

And about initial d, well.... As much as I love it, and as much as I would love it to be real it's not, it's just a cartoon, and it really does not apply to drifting in GT3. In the cartoon they emphasize numerous times that mountain racing requires mountain-racing techniques and circuit racing requires circuit-racing techniques. They point out that on a racetrack Takumi would lose to a R34 because the Trueno just does not have the power to keep up on the straights. The reason that Takumi can win on the mountain road is because they are almost continually turning and the straights are short enough so that his superior entrance and exit speed negates any extra power his opponent might have. Not to mention that it is entirely down hill. I have said this before, but the stuff that Takumi can do, is equivalent to Goku turning into a super Sayajin.

In “best motoring” the drift king (can’t spell his name so I won’t try) races a stock R34 in his 175hp Trueno, down a mountain road. Now the R34 is stock, that’s 276hp and the Trueno has everything besides a huge turbo, I almost consider this a fair match because of the suspension upgrades and tires on the Trueno. I believe that they do a few runs and they both win and lose (I wish I could see the whole thing I’m not even sure if they drift at all). Now lets compare this to Nagazato’s highly modified 380 HP R32 do you think that the drift king would be able to even keep up at all if he had to drive Takumi’s 150 hp Trueno? I doubt it, even if they only changed the tiers and suspension on the R34 and left the engine alone.

well said!

im fairly sure its naKazato and not nagazato :D takeshi or something... i love initial d, and i love the initial d game in the arcades. its not realistic at all but its great fun. whenever u drift, no matter how much it would slow you down in real life, as long as you are sideways, the game speeds you up, like a mini boost thing! :D

but yeah the trueno might be good but if a skyline is set up correctly i dont think it can compete. clearly a car with a lot of horsepower doesnt have anywhere near the same advantage as it would in grip driving, but it still has an advantage.

although that depends on what track ur racing too. remember at the end of series one in initial d, ryosuke takahashi (in the white rx-7) de-tunes his car so it has less horsepower because he says it will allow him greater control in the drift...

but with tracks in gran turismo like midfield or apricot hill where the turns are truly massive, horsepower wins hands down imho

paul

i will take my time on the weekend and make twin drifting and put on initial D music on it, i just like making movies of my own, i will make a movie of GT3 that has a story, but thats if im not lazy. but the twin drifting videos will be on, i need another month lets hope i can do it!!
