I just f'd up royally! :-(

It is with great sadness that I confirm that I made the biggest mistake with my GT5 game...I went to restore a game save backup as my original was not loading properly and I accidentally deleted it instead of copying it!

:ouch::banghead::banghead:

I was a A-Spec 28, B-Spec 18 and had just hit the 100 car mark in my garage.

I've tried some PC software to restore my external hard disks files but it looks like it's not working.

Lesson learned...try not to do anything with files just after waking up!!!

If anyone out in the awesome GTP community is willing to help get my garage back on track it would be great.
 
This is why I back up to two USBs and my Laptop, which has also been backed up onto two USBs.
Sorry to hear that, I hope you the very best with a new save :)

I almost did that today when I was doing my regular save-backup:ouch:

Sure. What do you need? I've only got race cars available right now though.

Add me as a friend if you would like. Let me know what you need and I will put it into my online garage so you can begin winning races. I honestly wouldn't mind starting over as I am almost done lol.
 
I feel your pain, I did the same thing about a month ago only I was lvl 35 a-spec and 40 b-spec. The only good thing was I had started a GTP named account and had transferred my CLK touring car over to do seasonals.

I suggest going and buying a micra to do the current bonus race, the xp and cash from it should give you a great boost in starting over. Sadly there's no quick answer to b-spec.


You can add me if you like, if there's a specific car you think could help you just ask, I haven't got high enough to get my x2010 back but I have about 400 others. Had an urge to collect every Mazda in the game so if you need a miata or rx7, I'm the guy to ask, I've got dozens.

Thanks for the advice! I hadn't looked into the additions to seasonal 7 yet.

P.S. Always save a back up on your computer at least once a week.

Red Bull X2010 S. Vettel (0 miles)

Sauber Mercedes C9 Race car '89 (73.4 miles, all upgrades and tire options)
Formula Gran Turismo (In white, +1,500 miles, bought from UCD)

That's all I have to offer right now. It's a bit overpowered, and I do wish I had more. Also, I have to check if I still have the red FGT, I may have forgotten :dunce:

I realize that this might be asking much but an F2007 or F10 would be incredible...I had just about completed the Ferrari events in the new seasonal. :ouch:

As for any other premiums...I really need to take a step back and look and see what would help me the most to rebuild my bank since I'm back to starting at the 20,000 Cr. I need to look at the new bonus seasonal races and see what they need to run in and I will be in touch.

Friends can borrow others cars that they have uploaded into their online garage. Maximum of either 5 or 6 cars in the garage, I can't remember. I'd send you one but that would take up my gifting slot and I need that.

You are free to add me. I got six cars I'm sharing, most for the tougher events in GT5, that way it could be raced through with more ease. No X2010 though.
 
I've had pretty much the same thing happen to me a couple of weeks back. Don't sweat it too much though, you'll be back at level 25 in no time.
The hardest pill to swallow was the fact that I had to do all the license tests and special events over, eventhough I golded most of them.

Anyway, you need car ? Add me and I'll hook you up with pretty much anything you want.
 
So, just to be sure: how do you load a game save from a backup (on a thumb drive)?
 
One day this will happen to me too, I'm sure.
 
i have all the cars you would need for the seasonal events for borrowing. just add my psn
