I figured we didn't have a thread like this, so here we go.

This is a thread dedicated for talking about anything that pops to mind after your most recent race or driving session.

I just finished the Dream Car Championship fighting against my own FGT. It gave me some confidence in finally taming the murderous yellow thing until I got to De la Sarthe and the Nurburgring 24H, where I exhibited driving that would've made Jean-Denis Deletraz blush. I think the only reason I won the Championship was because I was driving an FGT.

Training continues for my eventual assault on the Formula GT Championship, but I need to just keep at it.

I wonder if there's any straight bumpier than the Musanne in the Circuit de la Sarthe...
 
Just finished piloting the X2010 in the Dream Car Championship. Trying to make a least $10,000,000 to get a Ferrari F1 car. I'm halfway there...:indiff:

Sorry, not to be rude but what do is so difficult about the FGT Championship?
Everyone's in the same car and if need be, you can use Racing Softs, I use a stock FGT with oil change and the race wasn't hard.
Or is it because you're using a DS3?
 
It is, and I'm not loading up on driver aids. Even with Racing Softs when I practice I get torn up because I'm at best using, like, 70% of the car's potential. I have to get used to using the rest because I really want to master this car without using many assists.
 
Ah, and another thing I was doing today...I completed the Founder's Lap at Daytona Road Course for the current rules of the Budget Car Challenge: Keicar Month.

Sorry folks, you don't get to know the Founder's Time yet. You'll know when the Jackpot is distributed.
 
Drive some 3000km with FGT.
Get used to it and then do the FGT Championship.
On topic, today I finally did the B-Spec FGT Championship, never again - took me 5 hours.
 
...Some brilliant shuffle races where i had an epic win(by 0.1 sec) and even drew the short straw and ended up with a Mini Marcos on the 'ring :scared:
 
The FGT was really easy to drive stock with a wheel :)
Aids used, TCS 5, ABS 1.
At the time of doing the championship, I used stock aids, but now I use ABS 1 only.
 
Just purchased the CLK-LM, put racing softs and stage 3 turbo on it, tuned the suspension and took it around the Ring.

OH MY GOD!!! That thing is EPIC.

Just finished a test session with my Ferrari 458 Italia, Nissan GT-R, Lexus LFA and Mercedes Benz SLS AMG around Nordschleife, Nurburgring GP/D and Top Gear Test Track. All stock, I was comparing them to see what car is faster in different situations :)

Are you referring to me? :) If yes, then... The 458 Italia is the fastest on all the tracks, I found it the most enjoyable to drive. The SLS is so stable, is a little slower than the 458, getting a second place on Nordschleife and Nurburgring GP/D. The GT-R is hands down the easiest to drive, crazy acceleration for a car that is heavy like that. The Lexus is the hardest to tame, it presents a little of understeer in corner entry, and little oversteer in the exit. Anyway, here's the lap times :) The cars are all stock, no oil change on none of them, all broke-in, sport hard tires, no assists except ABS=1 and grip set to real.

A rally run with my beloved stock STi Hatchback with custom wheels and Mazziora Andromeda paintjob. The car is perfect, the AI is an overkill, my copilot has a weak voice (and the wrong pacenotes sometimes), and Tuscany is beautiful.
 
My moment of greatness was finally earning my S license a few days ago. Never had the funds for a wheel when GT3/4 was around as I was young but now with GT5 I have a wheel and just getting that S license bronze was a big deal to myself and my friends.

Dude, the S license in GT5 is way easier than in previous games. Good job, though. 👍
 
Just did the Nurby 4-hour race last night after a very stressful two and a half days of work/travel. Such a great way to decompress and finally commit the track to memory. And the prize car is nice too...

Most recent drive was a 15 lap drift battle(ish) of Tsukuba. One of the most exhaustive 20+ minutes I've spent online. You could think of it as a small enduro drift battle. <3 my RX-7 FC :D It was an accident since the host meant it to be 5 laps.
