Hey guys, playing right now and I would REALLY appreciate a quick answer...I haven't had any great cars in my used car lot lately and now a Jaguar XJR-9 LM Race Car '88 popped up for 4,5kk! Should I buy it or do you guys recommend to wait patiently for like a Bentley speed 8 or Sauber Mercedes or something? Thanks in advance, refreshing page every 10 seconds from now on ;) :p

So how much is this Formula GT?

This and the X1 are probably the 2 most popular cars in this game that everyones always talking about :P

Wait for the Formula GT, then buy everything else you'd want after that. It makes the endurance races go by much faster, and you can beat any of the remaining races with open entries with no problem. Plus, the car is just a badass.

Thanks mate, will do :-)

Yeah, plus you need the Formula GT to complete one of the Extreme events anyway. It's the only car that can enter it.

I've saved up about 3.5mil so far, almost spend it on the Toyota GT-ONE Race Car '99 (one of my favorite LMP cars). I told myself: "there is a prize car GT-ONE, and don't forget the premium LMPs (Audi R10 TDI, Mazda 787B and Peugeot 908)!!"

Really don't know how long I can hold it, so many race cars flipped right through my eyes...

Same happened to me. Stay away from the used lot until you get the FGT!!

Everyone plays the game a little different, and has a different level of skill. You gold all the special events, then you will get more credits. You buy only the cars you need and/or keep them stock, then you save credits.

I was a little combination of both; mostly golds and silvers on the special events, didn't buy too many expensive cars, and upgraded only the ones I really wanted/needed to, and ended up around a million short of the required credits for the Formula GT. 10 runs at Indy / Laguna Seca is not all that bad.

Of course, now that I've done all the events I want to (still have second thoughts about doing any endurance races), I'll need more grinding to amass a nice car collection. My next goal is the 1000 car garage (currently at about 160), starting with the premiums :)

I JUST struck paydirt, went to the lot and it was the first car to pop up, I feel better now, except I don't have enough credits for an oil change :)

What I think is ridiculous is the fact that I had enough credits to purchase the car but wasn't at level 24 yet :ouch: ...

I farmed like crazy for 2 straight nights to save up 4 Million credits to buy a new PEUGEOT 908 HDI FAP which I thought would be able to beat the 1st race on "Like The Wind". I was so pissed when I still could not beat that race with that car that I almost broke my DS3 controller. I just beat that race because luckily a friend let me borrow his Toyota Minolta car.

I just kept doing my farming on the Euro Cup where each of the races is worth 83,000 credits and each course does not take long at all. I was winning so easily with stealth Benz SLS AMG.

I'm at level 27 on A-Spec and at first I kept saying to myself I'm going to save up 10 million credits so I can knockout the "Multi Millionaire" trophy and so I could buy the Formula GT car. But yeah I keep spending money easily on cars both new & used. My thing also is I buy any used cheap cars in the 7K to 15K range now matter how ugly they are because I'm also working on the "car collector" trophy where you need a 1000 cars in your garage.

I'm level 28 A-spec with 13 mil credits, still waiting for my formula gt to show up. I'm waiting until I get to 17 mil credits to spend any money (unless the formula gt shows up). At that point, I'm going to buy the F2007 and will still have enough money left over to be able to buy the formula gt if it happens to be in the used car lot.

You are kidding about not beating "Like The Wind" with your 908. I am not a great driver, but I cronked em with mine, it won me the Minolta pretty much.
But the Minolta is an awesome racecar, on B-Spec, you just set it and forget it :)

I was thinking the very same thing earlier, I'm a noob driver and easily swept the competition. kb24sd what are the settings on your 908 and what modifications do you have done to it?

Try this out...

I actually got the same problem and had kept looking for some awesome tunes for it here...

Anyway, I did the following adjustments to my 908, which I feel is now at least on par with the Minota:

Upgrades: All upgrades except chassis reinforcement
Aero: 60/85
LSD: 10/20/20
Ride Height: -25/-25
Spring Rate: 12.8/15.5
Anti-roll Bars: 6/3
Brake: 8/7
Speed: 380 ~ 400 km/h depending on tracks

Let me know how you feel and any further suggestion on improving them is most welcomed!

I picked mine up yesterday after some grinding. The worst of it though was the 4 hours of refreshing the used car list via the next licence test trick. Seriously 4 hours. And what do they do.. Throw all the cars I want into the lot, bently speed 8, rc92 etc. I mean what a c*** tease. I did have to grab the ac cobra to go with the Shelby 427 cobra I already had. But the FGT is worth every penny, you need it for that series anyway. And even bob can make le mans cars look like fiats.

Here's what I did. I worked my way up to Level 35 B Spec. I have a ton of other nice cars. But yeah, the same old races most have trouble with I did as well. ( All Stars, Historic, Like the Wind ). So I passed on those. Just kept going and once I hit level 35 I was awarded the X1. I then took that car into those other races ( both A and B Spec ) and just crushed them to dust ( lapping everyone ). Now the game has pretty much become pointless, lol. The car is to insane fast and corners with hella G forces and brakes on a dime. I'm over here running it in the 24hr Le Mans now just watching it lap everyone to death. Now some 11 hours in to it.

I've got a problem with buying American muscle cars. I might be buying stuff I've already got, I dunno...I see 'em and I gotta buy 'em :) Luckily they're fairly cheap. I need to buy a bright orange car so that I can paint my Superbird that color too.

I'm at 5.5 million now and still waiting for the Formula GT.

grinded to 5.0 mil bought the ruf 3400S that appeared and now im doing the B1-B5 thing for the 8th time and still no FGT..... i think this will take some time :D
