There I was like 2 hours ago with moreless 2.5 million credits ( that i had been saving for the formula gt) as I turned lv. 23 so I decides to buy a zr-1 race mod it and max tune it for the American event .
After wining it I decided to take a look at the used cars and I ended up buying a green NSX ( for the paint chip ) a corvette stingray and the nomad diablo for nearly 1 million , and with my shopping monster awake I went to the new cars dealership and ended up buying a lime green LF-A ( also for the paint chip) , mine's gtr , amuse 380 rs and a 370z and i ended up with just 600 cr.
Now I will have to start saving again problem is I always do that in GT games , start saving for a car, get fed up and spend all the money I have and with the car randomly appearing it will be even harder :(

the same happens vto me as soon as i take a look at the used car lot after grinding for a few hours i always end up spending it quickly theres no way ill be able to save for a formula gt

I have saved up 4.3 million credits so far. No races available until I buy the Formula GT - I have won about 3 million by endlessly doing the Indy Race @ American Championship. It's enthralling stuff 👍

Yeah, I did that for an hour straight one night to get my last 2,000,000 or so credits. Then you'll have to wait for it to come up in the used car lot.

i got mine last night after roughly 6 hours of refreshing the list. Two nights worth of refreshing basically. You think the AI in indy is mental wait til you do the Formula GT the AI in that are absoultley crackers.

This.

I think the Formula races and the GT All Stars races are the two best in the game. Some others are really great as well in the later stages if you pick a similar car to your opponents.

I can't get past 1 & half mil mark. When I reach over 1 million I got to the used car lot just to have a little sneak peek. Every time I do this there is always something in there that cost between 750,000 & 900,000 guaranteed that I have just got to have. I'll never get the FGT. :o(

Well im in pretty good shape with gran turismo 5, just completed all the a-spec events bar the formula GT with 4.5 million in the bank. only 30,000 xp from turning level 25 and still got the expert AMG event to do (plus 20 license test)so plenty cash and xp to be farmed from that. After that the endurance events will open up so just a case of checking reguarly to get the FGT.

Would just like to add that up till now iv not had one bit of grinding to do but can see i may need a strategy soon.

My solution will to keep doing the dream car championship, did it last night in a toms supra 97 with medium tires and no horsepower boost. Had to push like hell on some tracks to beat the AI which made it tense and interesting...............anyways its worth about 700,000 credits and more importantantly 100,000 xp.......all for about 80-90 mins of driving pleasure, particuarly the last race!!!!!

What I don't understand is why everyone is so eager to spend 4.5 million on a standard car to do a boring series of mini endurance races that wins you a Caterham and pays crap money.

Agree with comment about GT All Stars - excellent series with a good few credits on offer. Been trying to do that one for the last few nights in my mildly tuned Nissan GT-R 500 Stealth Car, stage 1 turbo with soft race tires. Really hard work because it's impossible to catch up if you make a single mistake, plus in the later races the true Race spec cars do tend to dissapear into the distance no matter how well you drive.

I usually find myself up against the likes of the Bentley Speed 8 Race car, Audi R8 LMS Race car, V12 LMR Race Car, Mazda 787b, Peugoet 905 Race Car and Monolta 88c Race Car to name a few. So in the end I bolted on the stage 3 turbo kit to push the power up to around 750bhp which got the job done in the end !!

You will eventually. Once you own everything else in the game :D

Hang on... Wow! That's a lot of farming/grinding

I don't think it matters really .... i've never had more than about 3/4mil in credits at any one time before some nice car popped up in used or just for the hell of it i bought one i wanted and tuned it regardless of need for a race series

At some point it'll come to the top of the list but if you're getting enjoyment out of buying the cars you have done then so what :D

I want the LFA too soon :)

Im lvl 22 with 1.6 mil and the FGT came into my UD last night... I almost cried, that means I probably wont see it again until mid March. :p

i did the same thing, i had 2.5M, i saw the FGT in the lot, got frustrated and started buying cars, new pajero evolution rally, old pajero evolution rally, several classic muscle cars, lexus LFA, nissan 300ZX, and many more, i got the trophy penniless lol

now i grind like 600k and spend it all, again and again, but i have to start saving more money because i missed some great cars because i didnt have enough money, like the jaguar XLRM 9 or something like that

It's not that much really if you're dedicated enough to get it. 👍

I already traded my FGT for a Speed 8 recently and wanted another FGT so this morning I sat down all comfy like, turned the TV down and turned the radio on, got in my ZR1 and turned three quarters of my brain off and lapped Indy over and over. :nervous:

Was it tedious? you're damn right it was but I'm once again the proud owner of another FGT. 👍

Short term pain for long term pleasure! you could easily grind over two or three days to be less extreme and get the car so get going! vroooom!!!! :)

I'd grind until I had the money. 4-5 hrs on gone with the wind. I wouldn't look at dealership until I had the money. Then just liscense "glitch" to swap cars at the used lot.

Because it's the second best car in the game, and makes grinding to 30/35 a breeze. It's not just about that series, it's an awesome car for grinding experience.

Am I the only one with a comfortable wad of 6m credits and a garage full of 130 cars some of which are highly sought after (Escudo, Speed 12, Vertigo, etc) and am only level 23 A spec? Everyone else seems to have money problems, or lack-of-car problems :S

I never repeated races to grind credits for the Formula GT and I bought quite a few expensive cars. Once I was 24 I found it relatively quickly and had more than enough to buy it. I'm not sure why so many people are having trouble with credits at that level.

I've grinded literally three times, only three 'game days', the amount of money was from not frittering.

6m cr and 130 cars seems about right.
I currently have 1.5m cr and 232 cars.
I wonder, do you usually upgrade you cars? Because 95% of mine are stock. Perhaps everyone spends their money on upgrading all their cars.
Only way I'll get the FGT is to not open the used car lot until I have it all saved. Every time I go there I find something new that I want!
Luckily a friend is loaning me his FGT so I can complete the FGT series and move on.

I have a routine of getting the best value tuning mods to give my cars the edge...or the unfair cars a fair edge in the case of b spec. Racing filter, racing chip, stage 1 engine tuning, racing cat box, all that :)

Been going on and off for 3 days doing the American Championship race at Indy for 98k every 4 minutes. Im setting at a cool 4.4million right now.

Well I'm grinding with my Mercedes SLS AMG '10 at Nurburgring Nordschleife to get to lvl 21 so i can race NASCAR. That being said, grinding helps me restrain myself from buying cars. Really the only reason I buy cars before beating the game...is to well...beat the game. I'm trying to follow in a freinds foot steps...he raced with the fewest amount of cars possible and he had all his digits up to at least 700000000 so yeah....lol

American race indy money money money, when i need something i spend my 3 min 40 seconds there. Or like the wind before that or high speed ring before that, grind grind grind, i much rather grind for cash to buy something than xp.

Far as the used car lot i perfer my cars premium, so unless i really need it for some race series i skip it.
