Sorry for creating a new topic but i don't have timne to read 500 posts to see if this has already been discused.
Is just my game or happens with everyone. I'm using the PAL version
Sorry once more for creating a new topic

Dunno if that's a bug... looks like an accurate simulation of modern Mercedes quality control to me

Same thing happened on my civic, but after 181,900 miles
What? you are saying that the lights stop working after a certain ammout of Kms.
But those cars (The legacy, the SL series) are brand new...

What i wanted is if someone didn't mind trying to verify this.
Choose a night course and then the SL500 and see
Thanks in advance

Hey hang on a moment... 720 cars in GT4. Sports cars, supercars, race cars, droptops, concept cars, rare cars, even trucks... and you did 181900 miles - in a Honda Civic?????????? :boggled:

read the post above
He was talking about his real civic

sorry, I was trying to be cute and funny. It was a funnier comment in my head than in the forum : |

My civic in GT4 has only 142.8 miles

Sorry I didn't see that one before I replied. And here I was thinking you were addicted AND unique

Speaking of 181900 miles and running like a top, my old Alfa never at any time in its life with me had the two tail lights and two headlights all working at the same time. They took turns in failing, but would never ever all work together :irked:

Oh, and the four brake light bulbs used to come on sequentially when I hit the pedal, not simultaneously. It was like a mobile disco

Yes this was known. Yes it is a bug. No, not all cars do it, only the very few.

Now that that's out of the way.
"Sorry for creating a new topic but i don't have timne to read 500 posts to see if this has already been discused."

See that's the nice thing about this forum. YOU DON'T HAVE TO!

Next time, click search and don't waste forum space.

You don't want to take the time to read everypost so instead you post a topic that's been discussed many times already and make EVERYONE read through a topic they were hoping MIGHT be new.....but isn't........and wasted our time.

Subaru: The power of all-wheel drive (but not enough power for all the light bulbs).

Hit the light lens with your hand................it works with my old Corsa!!

Often the search function brings up too many replies to trawl through and not all are relevant.

You don't need to read 500 posts to find out. You can search within a given thread.

[edit]

And, actually, explaining to a user that he should use the Search function is not a waste of time or space. It's a damn good opinion. What's a waste of time and space is answering questions that have been discussed already multiple times.

Looks like Duke is a proud, card carrying member of the newly formed "search function police" (your patch is in the mail). Why don't all of you that are offended by questions being repeated simply start banning others from the forum?

Ask a question that has already been asked and BOOM, IP blocked.

I think it is time for the "search function police" to stand up and take charge.

You do realize I'm an Administrator at this forum? I've been "taking charge" for more than three years now...

Where's mine?

What is so hard about searching? You obviousley have some intelect as you can type legibly, but what makes you think you can start insulting other long term members? Hundreds of miles of copper wire perhaps?

this just seemed like a cool place when I first found it not that long ago. The ONLY negative are those that respond to most questions with "that has been covered" or "use the search function". If it is that bad that you have to f up the flow then just delete any and all threads that don't please you. Since your attitude is that we are here to provide original content for you guys that have read everything. a little bit gets old in a hurry. I will not be a long term contributor as many people won't because this is a cool place f'd up by the "search function police".

If I am the only one that feels this way, then I should be banned forever, but I am not.

If eveything was allowed to be repeated we would have one very slow server I assure you.

How about we make it our duty to force feed you the links aswell? Would you like that? Would it make you feel nice and cosy and at home?

And since when have newbies been here to provide orginal content? All they do is ask questions that may not have been asnwered directley in the past but most if not all know the answer.

Took teh words out of my mouth. A little bit of the same topic repeated constantly gets old really quick.

See you on another site, another time and perhaps you'll realise by then you were wrong.

Dude, go hit the bong again, you are making no sense with this one. Why don't you guys in the Search Function Police make this forum private so us noobs don't constantly offend you. I think you are just pissed off because the Euro is going in the crapper. sub 1.20 around the corner

Servers don't slow down because of amount of content, has to do with bandwidth, so your statement reads "if everyone were able to repeat questions, we would be so popular with people sticking around and actually enjoying themselves, our servers would slow down".....I guess to you, that is a bad thing....

Try being a long term contributor who has watched a cool place continually screwed up - that F word you keep almost using is prohibited by the AUP - by people who will are too lazy to look past the end of their noses to find anything. Notice that people who say "I tried looking for this, but I didn't really find what I was looking for" rarely get flamed if they can demonstrate that they've made a little effort to help themselves.

People who don't see a topic that is 2 screen inches below the New Thread button rarely become long term contributors, anyway. It happens occasionally. But saying "I don't have time to look" or "I'm too lazy" (which people have actually said) is not a great way to start a career here.

If you're too busy or too lazy to look for yourself, how dare you expect that we sit here and spoon feed you? Why is our time and effort less valuable than yours?

So, in short, if you don't like it, instead of complaining about it, shut up and put your money where your mouth is. You told me to "stand up and take charge". So I'll tell you that you just volunteered for the job of leading each lazy idiot to the answer they want, or fetching it for them, so that nobody has to tell them to search.

I'll expect to see you filling that role, or I'll expect you to drop the subject. Or you'll find out about the "And..?" part of me being an admin.

Because that's not the vision the site Owner has for his forum. He envisions a large group of intelligent witty people discussing their favorite topics - GT, cars, and other things. It's a great vision and those of us on staff and the active members are doing our best to make that happen, in return for the expense and effort put in by the site's Owner (who isn't me, by the way).

For what it's worth, we don't like stupid or lazy old members, either. So it's not an automatic n00b thing. Take a look at the join dates of somebody like rk or Scaff.

Servers don't slow down because of amount of content, has to do with bandwidth, so your statement reads "if everyone were able to repeat questions, we would be so popular with people sticking around and actually enjoying themselves, our servers would slow down".....I guess to you, that is a bad thing....
And the reason bandwidth is a problem is... large amounts of useless content getting posted and read? Duh?

Having been through massive server slowdowns, crashes and hosting relocations caused by huge volumes of new members repeating thousands of posts as the pre-GT4 fever caught on around the world, I can definitively tell you "it's a bad thing."

I ws wondering if you wanted a compromise. The threads get closed so we're happy and we force feed you the links so you are happy. Understand now.

I think you are just pissed off because the Euro is going in the crapper. sub 1.20 around the corner
LMAO. Why should I give a damn about the Euro. I live in Wales, part of the UK. We use sterling, the £.
