i know why the TT sucks.

all the 3000GT needs is a good, tight suspension and 55% VCD to rear to make it handle well. actually, the VCD should be closer to 65% front, but i don't think you can go that high.
you'd cut into off-idle acceleration, anyway.

Personally I dont like the TT one bit in the game or IRL

In the game it handles too much like a FWD car even if i set the vcd to 90% rear. To understeery and yeah that turbocharger issue.

Odd though the audi TT was quite a nice car in GT2 in comparison.

Although this is the TT I like the most

V8 and Rwd just how the roadcar should be ;)

From which game does this car come from( GT3 or GT Concept...)???

the reason the TT in GT2 is better because that is the v6 version. THe one in GT3 is the 1.8t version. It is lighter in the front hence the overstreer. Thats why it isnt as torquey(sp?... does this word exist?) as the one in GT2. I personally think you need to think about the car for a minute. THe 1.8t starts it torque line at 1800 rpms and it holds max torque all the way to redline. Now VW engines dont like the high end of things, i know i own one. Put the stage 3 turbo on and you will have the high end you want. Also dont mess with the VCD to much and if you do at max put it to 30 percent. You need to think how the car is designed before you go setting things drastically. PS- the Audi quattro system is one of the best AWD systems in th world use it to your advantage.

It may have one of the best awd systems in the world, but its not any good when its combined with the now lumpy over time VW golf chassis.

Are you sure that there is a V6 Audi TT? I looked at the Audi website and all I could find was two variations of the 1.8t engine.

TT Coupé

Engine Performance Transmission

1.8 T quattro 180 bhp 6 speed £ 23,400.00

1.8 T quattro 225 bhp 6 speed £ 26,100.00

Or do you mean the special model TT in GT2?

Id rather have the Audi S3 over the TT anyday. Ive never driven a TT but I have test drove a S3.

BTW hi HoopRide2002 and velcome to the Planet :)

it drops off @ around 5500 rpm.

putting the turbo on is what makes it drop off.

well then the game isnt right. because its not. i think they made a v6. I will check my old road and tracks. i dont use the TT, I dont like it. Personally my fav audi is the s4. I just think that if you set it up just right you can make things happen with it.

It wouldnt surprise me if there was a V6 TT a few years ago. But I am pretty sure there wasnt. I have every Road&Track, Car and Drive r and Motor Trend from 1988-1998, and a few here and there since that time. I do know for a fact that when the TT first came out it had a 1.8T engine.

And yes the S4 is heavenly.

i think you are right, there was no v6 model. But I remember something about a v6 and a 1.8t model tt a couple of years ago. I must be dreamin again. I didnt know that the 1.8t was 225hp i thought it was only 180. hmmm i better do more research on this.

I wish they included the Audi S3, like in GT2. That had to be one of my favorite rallyers. Mind you I liked thrashing my race modded 1.8t VW golf through tahiti maze.

I think it wouldve been a better option if they had included the V6 from the S4 (does the S4 have a V6? cant remember) I think the TT would have been much more fun with a 240 turbo v6.

I know the people here are very knowledgable about the game, but alot of you dont know abot real cars.

The Audi TT (CURRENTLY) has 2 engine options. They are both 1.8 Turbo 4 Cyl's but one has 180hp and the other has 225hp. Both engines are offered in either the coupe or roadster. The 180hp TT is only Front-Wheel Drive in Coupe or Roadster. The 225hp comes with Quattro AWD in Coupe or Roadster. So if you see an Audi TT in real life here is what to look for: The 180hp FWD TT has a single exhaust pipe. The 225hp AWD TT has dual exhaust pipes and a badge on the back left that says "quattro"

The Audi S4 has a 2.7 V6 Twin Turbo 250hp, I believe it is only around 6-7psi. They all have Quattro AWD and all are 4 doors

The price of the 180hp TT Coupe is $50,400

The price of the 225hp Quattro TT Coupe is $54,900

The 180hp TT Roadster is $50,500

The 225hp Quattro TT Roadster is $59,000

The S4 is $57,000

(All prices are in Canadian dollars)----$100CDN=$61USD

And most turbo cars will see their boost drop off above a certain RPM. My WRX drops drastically above 6500 - from 15+ psi to about 8-10 psi.

well that sucks. are you talking about a real car or your game car???

since it's nearly impossible to measure your actual pressure in the game, i'm going to guess it's his real car.
a :subaru: WRX - wow, man. supreme niceness. :D :D

actually, back to the topic

the reason the TT isnt such a great car is not its HP or boost issues, cause in a strait line its decently quick

Audi engineered with a trick AWD system....ya see...the TT isnt really AWD it is driven by its front wheels until the computer senses wheel spin or slip, at this point the ECU engages the rear differential so the rear wheels become active.

the skyline uses a similar system its called ATESSA-ET-S this system is considerably more effective than audis for one simple reason, its reversed. the skylines system directs 100% of the power to the rear axles until the car begins to turn, decelerate or slide. at this point the speed and G sensors on all 4 wheels detect such movement and engage the front wheels to optimize braking, cornering and acceleration off the line.

anyway, theres some fun info to think about. :)

ohh yeah, and the skyline is all wheel steer (in other words all 4 wheels turn the car, not just the front) most people dont know that....and they should ;)

the nissan AWS system is called SUPER HICAS and features active control of the vehicles rate of yaw to adjust the rear wheel angle in order to improve stability when cornering.

more fun tech tid bits for yall :p

well now - i suppose that's would explain the TT's off-idle acceleration similarity to that of a front-banger...

once again, the :gtr: has taken the cake of good engineering.

1) where the heck did that come from?
2) we know you hate GT3, and we don't care at all.
3) no, it's not.
4) shut up.

wow....what a useless comment from yet another useless individual

gk46 : go home and stop posting here unless you can offer something interesting, funny or informative

otherwise stop taking up valuable web space with stupid **** posts like TONY HAWK IS BETTER THAN GT3

you ignorant waste of space

nothin wrong with the TT. its not meant to be a super fast car but it goes hard for something under 400hp.

you complain about understeer? i dont have any problems with understeer.

spend some time and tune it.

No not yet, I wouldve posted some **** like my entire save. I hate amazon they suck H**d! if they havent delivered by tuesday im going to cancell it and order it directly from the manufacturers website.
