V8 Challenge, by EA Sports. i can get this thing for a few bucks, but i want to know if it's worth it. i'm not sure this thing was available in North America, hence why i'm askin' you guys down under! ;)

Nope V8 supercars is way better. The track looks like it was copyed and pasted same with the cars. It has to be the worst game EA sports has every produced.

I have it, installed it, did 2 laps around bathurst and then uninstalled it..

At the moment there are a few option regarding V8Supercar games :

Black Knight has released brilliant versions for both Nascar Heat and F1 2001. (free)

Toploader has done an excellent job on high res skins for the F1 2001 version. (free)

Another mate, reflex released a similar mod for F1 2000 CS. (free)

And, of course, SCGT also has a V8Supercar mod..

The codemaster game looks good, released around Feb next year.

I read a review in a motor mag Ive got and yeah this is pretty much what it said:

- Only four tracks are australian
- Even on the hardest setting its way too easy
- There are only 14 cars in a race
- Too easy to get black flagged
- AI is more "artificial" than "intelligence"
- Too many bugs
- NO REAR VIEW MIRROR!!

Another rushed effort, obviously

Sorry to break into this thread, but Hi Fiery! I remember you from GTH...I was GT2Player over there, I changed my user name to MazKid over there too. Just saying hi!

Hey MazKid, how`s it going?

It`s amazing how many old GT members I run into around the place...Still GTing?, me, I`m pretty well PC racing based now.

Yup, still GTing. I was a pioneer of GT3 hybridding. I used MK's program ofcourse, but I went through the list of cars and used all of the hidden cars and found what they were...a lot of Miatas in there, very cool stuff.

As of now, I'm pretty much just playing GTA4...I'm kinda bored with GT3, it's over a year old.

Mate, do tourself a favour and just go straight out and buy V8 Supercar Race Driver for PS2, or Mark Skaife Racing (not sure if that's the real name, but V8 Supercar driver Mark Skaife has a game out) for XBox. I'm not sure if that's available in America, though.
