Seriously. I haven't had any problem with my local Blockbuster until recently. From charging me for a late return that wasn't (it got back to the shelf without being checked in) to the latest incident - rerenting me a damaged movie.
I rented AI the other night. I was really into it, but then halfway it started skipping and freezing really badly. When I removed the disc from my player what greets me but HUGE scratches running across the surface of the disc. I returned it the next day and got credit.
Fast-forward to tonight. I decide to go see if the other copy of AI is back yet. I look on the shelf and there it is. Sweet. I head to the checkout. When the clerk unlocks the case I ask to see the disc. She looks at it and says,"Scratchy, scratchy..." I look at the disc and see very similar looking damage. I ask her to check my history to see if this is the same copy - it is!!
How silly of me to think that they'd retire a badly damaged disc! So I ask her to do this - who knows if they did. I do know that she left some kind of note on my account.
