I Need Help On Drifting With No Aids!!!

So, I have absolutely no prob mixing tires. Although if you can do it with same Front and rear that's different. And I always want the most grip I can possibly get away with and still be able to drift well. (Never go above Sport Hard) Because you can get better drive out of the corners and keep your speed better while on the throttle drifting. Not to mention that it gives better control.

IRL, it makes sense. Especially financially. However in GT4 it really doesn't. The way the physics model is setup, you actual hurt more then you fix. Except in certain cases with AWD's. But you'll have to ask DR about those.

I used to use the n2 tires, but now I feel that sport mediums with the right setup and drifting technique is MUCH more fun than using the n tyres.

N tires are easy to learn on, but Sports tires I feel are way more fun and allow easy feint drifts.

i have to agree, IRL most drifters mix because they are broke, or cant afford performance tires to burn off every weekend. only tire sponsored guys can afford to burn up top quality rubber, or thoes that can afford, and want to buy top quality tires. im sure it has its benefits, but for the weekend drifter, its just not worth it to put good rubber on the back.

When I said a stock silvia, I ment change nothing except the tyres. Silvias come with factory LSDs anyway. Obviously they're not as good as an aftermarket one but it should get the job done with a stock car.

Mixing tires should be a last option... Not the best tool for learning...

N1's or N2's all around is just fine...

i totally agree. mixing tires is kind of taking the easy way out. if you put softer tires on the front, it pretty much takes the steering part out of the equation. kinda like drifting with training wheels. not very macho. lol but seriously, if you look around at previous threads, you;ll see that almost ALL of the best drifters in here only use N1 or N2 tires all around the car. ( note... this pertains to the game, not real life, most of the drifters on formula D etc. have been drifting for a while so they arent still learning how. )
