I Need Help

Oh OK, I didn't know you wanted to do the stock race, cause at first you said you wanted to race a suped up Japanese car Versus a Viper. OK I will run the XKR and kick your ass.

1. Read the posts above. You "threw down the gauntlet" with a stock v. stock challenge. In the movie "A Knight's tale" William said to Sir Thomas Colville (who was actually prince Edward in disguise), "It isn't in me to withdraw."

2. You run it fair, no wall-rides, no grass cutting, You won't beat yourself in the RX-7 with the XK-R. I haven't seen you drive but I have strong doubts you will beat me :D . And I know you won't out drive SaleenASL.

3. To state this in the polite custom of the American Midwest to the notion of you kickin' my a**:
"I'm looking really hard, but I just don't see that happening." :D

4. I made the challenge AFTER I ran the cars, I KNEW going in what car would be faster. You walked into a carefully laid trap. 😈
You then "set the hook" by picking a track that favored handling over top speed. I couldn't have done that part better myself, Thank you.

5. After I return from burying my father, if you are still interested, I will be happy to run a 79,000cr RX-7 against a 79,000 cr Viper. See #4 above before you agree to that.

Oh I know from the flavour of your previous posts, Gil, that you weren't 'having a go' (so to speak) at the cars. As you say at the end, we all know what prompted you to take a stand. No real offense taken here - I just felt it my patriotic duty (even tho Jag's now owned by Ford) to sing the XKR's praises a bit!

I understand completely:D
My blood runs a little bit BRG at times too. Especially in the Real World.
I still remember the first time I saw a Jensen-Healey. *begins to slobber*

I know I can beat you in the XKR, and I'm positive that I'm a better driver than you. What trophies did you get in your licence tests? Because I got all golds in B, A, iB, iA, and S. Did you?

Didn't bother, wanted to get in the game, and at the moment it just doesn't seem important. And as I said. And, if you "sharked" it it don't count.
You walked into a trap, then pulled the door closed on yourself.
If you run it fair, That is: best effort in both cars, The Mazda will win and be easier to drive, in the process.
Had you Picked Apricot Hill, or Rome Circuit you would have evened out the playing feild. But Trial mntn is biased toward light, stiffly sprung sports cars. Not softly sprung luxo-tourers.

Run it! Run it fair. Post your results, be back to you in a few days.

Mybe to an ametuer driver like yourself, but unlike you, I have run Trial Mountain hundreds of times. This isn't a 007 movies stop acting like you had a "trap" set for me. Anyway when me and my friends do 2 player, we only race on Trial Mountain, and we race for hours at a time, so I highly doubt you can race on that track better than me.

You may not have been "trapped"
But I've driven 1100 miles with 6 kids in the car, so it wasn't the fastest trip, Mood has been somber since my dad passed away on Friday, Had one of my sons work on my mom's computer so it would run faster, etc....
What I'm trying to say is: you're busy talking. Post some times.
And if you weren't trapped why were you willing to run a 79,000cr. RX-7 against a 79,000cr. Viper.
Accepting that challenge reeks of stepping into a trap, (me giving you a little credit)
Or, youthful hubris (more, me giving you a little credit),
Or, You shooting off your mouth before checking to see if your brain is loaded. (me stating what it looks like actually happened).

If it hit too close to home on the "I have a weak point, so I'm talking louder" comment, Sorry.
And one other thing...POST SOME TIMES
or actually...I won't hold my breath... Since my times and Saleen's are actually here they can be official as far as I'm concerned.

RX-7, not as luxurious as a Jag. But, just a mite faster for this comp.

Thank you, and Good night.

Due to lack of interest (mine), I'd like to just declare this a closed subject.
I will continue to believe what I have proven. You Continue to believe what you believe.

The point of this whole thing wasn't as much to beat you, as to help you open your eyes and mind to the world around you. (which, considering your replies, I have hopelessly failed at).
Your profile shows you to be 17. Pretty young to be as cynical as your replies.

Being born and raised in California, I have one question for you.
You have a New York "mouth". Are you originally from Cali? You are nowhere near mellow enuff to be.

Suggestion: When you get some chill time.
1. Go to University Towne Center (in La Jolla) and watch the college girls for a while.
2. Then Follow the road from UTC down to the cliffs and watch the Glider School launch planes for a while. (you thought I was gonna suggest you jump)
3. Then pull your binoculars out of the glove box and check the beach below. If you are lucky you will see a bunch of mellow folks while out on this errand. Learn from them. (It is not neccessary for you to get nekkid with them). For if you have followed my directions correctly you should be above Black's Beach.

The most important lesson you can take from this is to try to be polite to all and to consider both sides of an issue. If you don't you will eventually back yourself into an indefensible corner.
My father used to say "Hard heads make soft backsides".
Also, it is important to be polite.
You have ranted, raved, and cussed to get your point across. I truly believe that if your position were a bit more solid, that particular behaviour would not be neccessary. Maybe, you're not old enough to know better. Learn now, before you find yourself in "a tight". words to the wise....

Anyway, I'm too tired and just too dang old to try and sort out this particular blivett. And I refuse to try to "teach a pig to sing"

*A blivett is when you try to put 10 pounds of crap into a five pound bag.*
When you try to teach a pig to sing, you waste your time....and you annoy the pig.
(Draw any conclusions you please)

First of all, I am from California, I've lived in San Diego all my life. Second, I wasn't really mad when I was writing those messages, I'm about as mellow as they come. If you met me you would see that I am nothing like that, I just really dislike Japanese cars, and you guys were not accepting that, and you were trying to force me to like them. Anyway. I am mellow and I apologize for any curse words I used earlier.

Japanese cars are mellow!

Apology accepted.
You still need to hit UTC. The college girls are "thick as thieves" there.
Used to hang out there when stationed at NTC off Rosecrans.

'Nother favor. Hit the "Brown Bag" on Rosecrans, Get thee an artery clogging sandwich, (take something to the dry cleaner if you need an excuse to get over there.) and let us know how great it was.:D
