Im almost finished with the professional league and i have to finish the red emblem race. I have a fully tuned Nismo GT-R road car and i found some great tuning guide and the car handles great. I tried quafying for the race and got the best lap by a second more than the R34. I can beat the R34 on a corner without a problem but on a long stretch of road that car kills me and i have 668hp!!! The track im on is R246 and the first sharp corner that car always slams me into the freaking wall. By the time i reach the long stretch im like 50 meters infront of him and he catches up to me and smashes me into the wall again. I need help i have to beat that race. I will appreciate some advice.

Might be the gear settings. Tell us what you are using for settings and we can help you out.

Adjust your transmission.

You've got it too short. The easy way is to adjust the Auto Slider to the middle, and run a few qualifying laps. If you're not getting enough acceleration, tweak it down a bit. If you're maxing out your speed, tweak it up a bit.

Now the by product is that higher top end means less acceleration. So use your brain a bit and aim for middle ground on both, or which ever one favors your tastes.

Obviously on R246 you want more top end, but enough for acceleration at the beginning of the long front straight.

Good luck,

AO

I changed my gear settings to 36 and the R34 can still beat me on the straights. If i use anythin over 36 my car accelarates very slowly after i hit a corner. What car did you guy's use to win that race.

Hi Speed Freak

One question in response to what you've posted so far. Do you actually get into top gear? If not then that obviously suggests that your gearbox is set too long and needs some serious shortening.

Run it through the Tranny Trick and set the Final Drive so that you don't quite bounce off the rev limiter at the end of R246's S/F straight.

See here for how to do the Tranny Trick:

Hope that helps.

The answer, my friend, is don't hit the corner.

:lol

I didn't interpret "hit" in quite that way TMM :).

I was rather assuming that as the chap was doing the PRO League he'd learned not to rail-ride :D.

@SF

Just in case you are having trouble negotiating Turn 1 on R246 (forgive me if this is not the case), then you need to start braking between the two red signs on the left of the track. The corner can be taken at something like 100 -110 kmh if you take a tight line to the apex. You can utilise the run-off rumble strip on the outside as you exit the turn but take care with the angle of attack of the car as if you clip the wall with a rear panel it will not only upset your mechanics but also sap your speed.

:) I won. Thanks for the advice. My stats were 17'32.036 for ten laps, my best lap was 1'41.286. When i finished i was 36 seconds ahead of the competition.
Turn 1 on R246 I managed to take at 76mp/h without touching the any of the walls.

Glad to be of assistance SF.

Good news that you took the podium by storm with your newly fettled gearbox 👍

Also good that you nailed Turn 1 so well :applause:.

Well done sir.

He did state in an earlier post that the AI car slammed him into the corner.

Yes he did, TMM.

I had read all through the thread before posting but (my bad) I obviously misinterpreted by assuming that you were giving advice with a comical acerbic tone (hence my use of laughter/humour smilies).

If you took offence then my apologies.
