I need newb help

I am new here and need help. I just rented GT5 and I get stuck ont his screen before the game even begins. It wont let me do anything. Anyone else had this problem? Any help will be appreciated....sorry if this has been discussed before.

I'd try uninstalling the game and then re-installing it.

Try getting rid of the thumb prints off the disc. I noticed freezing in Army of Two when I had thumb prints on it.

I assume the game installed. Just after the Polyphony screen this appears and locks up. I will an unistall/reisnstall and see what happens.

Have you checked both the Game Data Utility and Saved Data Utility. GT5P installation will be in the Game Data Utility folder and should be around 5500mb

Have you got over 6gb free space on your hard drive?

your last resort could also be to reformat your PS3's hard drive
