Ok, I have never had this problem before. It did not start until about a week ago. The problem is, everytime I am connected after a while I am disconnected. What in the hell is wrong? Today alone is has kicked me off over 10 times. Does anyone know what to do so I can fix this? It really bugs me to be in the middle of a game and get the signal that I have been disconnected. ANy help would be appreciated. :)

:(

Sometimes it does that to me with AOL, but I don't think AOL is the problem. I think (which may not be right) your modem just "gives up" when it receives to many packets of information at one time and that's why it disconnects. This only happens to me when I have 5 or 6 IE windows open, all of them trying to load webpages, otherwise, I'm fine. So, with your game, it might be sending to much info for your modem to handle.

Ahh now that V-Z said that, you should check your data rate settings in SoF2 (the only game you're referring to, i think)

MistaX, I have no clue what you are talking about in SOF2. Never have I seen that option in SOF2. I have never looked either.

im on 56k and i get disconnected when someone calls the phone line when im on the net. my isp also has a time limit that makes it so you can only be on for so long before they disconnect you and you have to reconnect

Yeah, Rumple, I know in my comp options there is something that lets you make your comp ignore the phone call so it will not disconnect you. I knew where it was on Windows ME but I am on XP now and can not find it. :(

It's usually in the dial-properties for the modem, rather than the ISP connection.
