This is my 1,000 post, which goes to show that I have wasted way, way to much time on this forum, even gotten in trouble because of it, but I loved every minute of it, thanks to Jordan, The other Admins, Mods, and especially all the members here for making this such a great place.

(Bytheway I know that 1,000 posts isn't much for being here 2 years, but atleast most of them were thought through well :p)

Hey Wallrunner51, if you think you waste a lot of time here, think about the others. I'm just a prime example of a GTP addict. Haven't even been a year old member, but have already passed 2500 posts! :eek: (just look at my post per day average.....) But yeah, if you enjoy being here, so why complain? ;)
I got more scolding from my parents from you for using the pc for 12 hours a day....

I wouldn't say it's time wasted....

And there are a few guys who are over 10 posts per day. They've spent much more time on here, so you don't really have anything to worry about in terms of spending too much time here.
 
Oh it's not a waste of time. This site is a very good site.

Don't worry about being slow. I've been here almost three years and only have 1600 posts. Wow, three years. I just realized that, lol.

I guess 10.8 posts a day and over 12,300 postings makes me one of "those guys."
 
Not a waste of time at all. We always try to promote good grammar and writing skills. We have homework help threads, we talk about art and music. Basically, GTPlanet has made you a better person. :D

That's how I justify my addiction anyways.....

I like being here, like when im doing coursework (like now!) its nice to have it on in the background so I can pop into a discussion...(like this!)

Sometimes it does feel that its distracting me but as I said I enjoy it too much. Good to see so many like minded people talking about a wide range interesting things..

And thanks GTPlanet for keeping my spelling and grammar up so I don't descend into txt spk.. :sly:

Definitely not time wasted, it's the only forum I frequent. though not as often now as I did a year or two ago, back then browsing GTP was something I did regularly during work, which is a no go now.
 
I'm actually kind of surprised you've only made 1000 posts. You seem more 'prominent' than other members with 1k.

But, of course, quality over quantity! Or both.

I don't think he's actually saying folks like us have wasted time, just we spend a lot more time on here.

Same here... all of it, except for the 12-hour bit. I average 44.7 minutes per day.
