I went to Goodwood yesterday to go on a flight in a plane, but I saw some nice Cobra's while I was there in the car park.

Here are five of the Cobra's:

Here's one of them a little closer. They left very soon after I found them so I couldn't take any more close up:

Here's one of the five Cobra's driving away:

Here's the sixth Cobra. The owner turned up a little late and was asking us where the other group went! The exhausts were properly loud too.

I saw another three Cobras but I didn't get the chance to take pictures of them. I hope you like the pictures. :)

lol you mean all of them are replicas! The real AC Cobras left (from like a 1,137 cars produced or so from 62 till 68) are so rare that there is just no way in hell you'll see them at a little local meet/cruise. The signed ones by Carroll Shelby are all either in museums or stored with the rest of the car collections of some millionaires. Only very rarely you'll see some at the biggiest national expositions each year.

Yeah, they could be. I could have found out if they were replicas if I could had got a closer look. You do see some very rare cars at Goodwood you know. 👍

I've seen a Vauxhall VXR220 which only 150 or so were made there.

Edit: In fact, here's the thread with the cars I previously saw at Goodwood: 👍

I saw an replica one, just last week. Sounded awesome, too. Very sexy looking cars. :)

Edit: Oh, and really nice pics, G.T!

They are more then likely repilcas because you would have to be stupid to take a real cobra on the road. They are worth a rediculious amount of money. Still nice never the less though, and you can buy the kits from Shelby which makes them sorta a Shebly Cobra.

Nope... The owner of several hardware stores in Kirksville, MO, has an original Shelby Cobra 427, with an extra 427 side-oiler crate motor still in the box sitting next to it.He bought them NEW. the extra 427 has never been opened.

some of those wheels looked like real original Halibrands.

All those above are replicas. You'd have to get exceptionally lucky (or exceptionally rich) to see a real cobra in person. Especially at a driving club setting like that.

Although the blue/white stripes one looks fairly accurate for a kit car.

HOLY CRAP !.... That black one is awesome !... (They all are actually, but that one takes first place)

Look how clean it is without the misc. bumpers and with the long rear..

Nice pix, but i'm pretty sure they are reps. A couple of them look pretty good, but others are certainly reps. Real Cobra owners don't really mix with kit cobra owners, so i doubt any were real.
