wait.. are we learning a new word? is that a SAT word?!? AIEEE

anyways, asian drifter, i guess i'm not the only one who can't drift with sims
i normally use... sports or normal. or more slicky tires..

if i have like.. BONE STOCK cars, i use sims, but usually dont do it..

one more thing..
watching silviadrifter's mildhybrid drift with sims... vid
do you use... the wheel or the analog? it seems like you used "X" button for accelrating..
and looking at the steering, it seems like you used wheel! EH!!! IM CONFUSED

I use the Dual Shock 2... Both analog sticks...

Blipping the throttle is sometimes a more effective way to keep the revs where you want them...

i meant
"works like a charm BUT"

Well, seeing as you can obviously type correctly when you want to, you probably should have just typed that in the first place... There is no excuse for short cuts and inproper grammar (if you have decent grammar to begin with)... You have all the time in the world to check for errors before you press submit... Not to mention it is part of the "acceptable use policy" of this forum...

I don't mean to jump down your throat, but it's this kind of laziness that gives the drift forum such a bad name... Just please try to think before you press submit (and that goes for you to, RX-7_FC_DrIfteR)...

Sorry, back to topic...

;)

this all depends on the car he is using and how much power and cars with hard as suspension will spin way more i just use skyline m type with 270 hp and sim tires and sports suspension and i have never turned back

i think i i never tried drifting with a stock car....it just doesn't go with my style

same here man, I hate drifting stock cars. I dont hate the cars, its just not my thing. I like long smokey drifts and a stock car isnt gonna give me my "fix".

A stock S14 can easily perform long smokey drifts if the driver understands good technique...

I can drift any series of turns with a stock car just as with my higher power vehicles... I am positive I am not the only one in these forums that can achieve such things...

Sound Off!...

One, Two! Three, Four! One, Two, three, four, one, two, THREE! FOUR! :dopey:

S13 Stock. Midfield II, Trail Mountain, Grandvalley no problem!

I can't drift with Sims either, whenever I do a drift, it just keeps spinning and spinning, and I'm controlling the amt. of throttle and everything, I don't go fast either. I just can't seem to figure why I am bad. It's probably just that I'm not supposed to be a good drifter.. :guilty:

you need more throttle control if you spin as much as you say you do! its not hard to drift with sims, just takes a while to get used to them.

true.. i mean control the amt. of throttle and all.. but obviously i can see that it's not enough.... but i tried something a LITTLE different (to me at least, I don't know if anyone else tried this or does try it.) i use MK's and Sharkport.. I made a Trueno SS with a Z06 engine, 45mm suspension.. and 787B brakes.. it's got 500hp.. I tried it with SIMS.. 2 words: FORGET IT. The thing was horrible on handling.. I put on normal tires.. and it works great.. i dunno.. :dunce: but im noticing cars with 500+ hp on my game.. drift better with normal tires.. just being observant. try it if you wanna?

or all he could need is less angle...and keep it like speed drifting...

how more true can that be...im same thing, i never drift without leaving the tune-up shop and a oil change and carwash

it's possible but in some cases it's pretty hard though =P i had trouble with the espirit...

i'm not the greatest (i can't do THE apricot hill turn, nor have i successfully drifted the first corner of SSR5) but i always thought drifting with sims and with minimal mods was the way to go =P

the response feels a bit laggy and indirect when drifting stock, so that's probably the only reason i'd want to mod it... a little more power, a little lightening, and it's all good =P

You dont' want to go too much over 400hp with Sim tires. Most of my cares with sims are int the 200-350hp range.

So you are correct in saying that your 500hp mildbrid trueno handled better on normals.

Try taking out a stock power trueno or S13. Do all the drivetrain and weight reduction mods and give it a shot. It' WILL teach you throttle control. It sounds like you simple have too much HP for some very light cars. If that's the case, then throttle control would certainly be most difficult.

RX-7_FC_DrIfteR
Thats funny because, i'm useing a 700hp r34 and it drifts rather well.

IN AWD it's a bit different. you need more HP. But 700 on sims sounds like overkill to me.

S14 Stock.. Anywhere !! ^^ 500 Hp is good for a AWD car with sims... 700 hp is, like Swift said, overkill.
