The fail music in GT3 was actually much better than the You Fail theme in GT4. Sometimes, I even INTENTIONALLY fail in GT3 just to hear the theme. If there was some other song that would have worked, it would have to be that Everclear song that went "...and then you really might know what it's like..."
If you know you're not going to pass the license test, you have a few options. Retry, intentionally disqualify yourself (have all four tires leave the course, smack a wall hard, ram into the Pace Car, overtake the Pace Car), or simply exit and study the Demo Driver. All or most of the tests should be easy enough to get Bronze. The ones that will give you problems will be the Audi R8 at Sears Point (I hate "Infineon Raceway." Don't have to type that. Not like I'm getting paid for mentioning Infineon. Besides, that's why there's NASCAR), the Ruf Yellow Bird in the IA license at Trial Mountain, the Suzuka test with the Alfa Romeo convertible, the Grand Canyon time trial, and BOTH Nurburgring Nordschleife tests.
If you can win at a disadvantage, you win A-Spec points to prove that you could work at a disadvantage and still win. If this means very little to you, do things old school- tune until you run out of money. Tires. Engines. Suspension. Who cares? Just mod it all up as much as you can to win. Or use your B-Spec racer. Because after all, if you can't get the job done, MAYBE your B-Spec racer can back you up. All the tools you need to win races is in the game. Use them to your advantage.
