I think I broke a light on my car :3

The little round tail lights on at least one of the Zondas can be 'pushed in' with a pretty light tap from behind. I did it to an AI car drafting down the Mulsanne

Think of it this way:

Premium cars are cars made from several panels of play-dough. Standard cars on the other hand are made completely from play-dough. If you crash your Premium car, chances are that the "panels" will sink in to each other. If you crash your Standard car, the entire car will mould to a new shape.

What.. I've actually never seen this happen when I play. It's pretty cool though.. time to crash some cars now I suppose! :)

Lol speaking from a technical point if it was really like that the cars would have much much more polygons.I understand what you mean because it does look like play dough haha. Most racing games <most not all> dont even have real-time deformation and im surprised PD took a jab at it seeing that its their first time including damage. Now all they need to do is make panels fall off ( which I think will be possible in GT6) and shattered glass and debris because really they got the hard part of damage modeling done haha

HuskyGT
It's quite a nice drawing, I must admit it.

And what, you no like mine? I drew myself :D
Yours is cool too HuskyGT, I drew a furry avatar, but it's my iPhone's wallpaper

Hmm, are you sure it was the tail light, and not just the advertisement on the back on the car which says "Total"? because the tail lights on the 908 are at the bottom by the rear diffuser, I circled them in this pic. Just thought I'd verify if you're thinking the right thing.

No, I knew the lights were down there, matter of fact here's what the car looked like after my Bob sent it into the wall.

They sort of slid into the back of the diffuser panel making it look like one solid piece, like what Husky and Penguin were on about. You couldn't see any glow at all under braking either.

I've broken a section of taillight on an R34 before, so its not a glitch. What TheeFrogmanlego said sounds the most likely, from a programmer's point of view.
