By skipping an oil change for too long, ran an endurance race with semi-brown oil, unknowingly of course since my change oil lamp wasn't lit yet. By the end of the race, I went from 700pp-680pp, mostly from the dip in horsepower, but I wonder...does this raise the price on my engine restoration option?

I shouldn't think so, theres a limit to the amount it would cost, depending on what car.

Also note that after 8,000-11,000 miles, you could start to experience PERMANENT power loss. Yes, PERMANENT. I just have to highlight the fact that it is PERMANENT, and you cannot fix this with engine overhaul - however if you have a restoration ticket, that would change the situation. :)

Yeah. As pointed out, engine restoration is engine restoration. It makes no difference for anything (cost, performance restored, etc.) until the car gets really high mileage, and even then the only difference is how much power it restores. Cost never changes.

my next thought is, was that through the intake, or are you an exhaust man?

It sounded to me like waking up from a hangover with no clear recollection of the night before. "I think I screwed my ...."
One would think such an event would remain vivid, especially if it involved exhausts.
