i want to know a few things about GT3

erase all the old posts, and simply start a new FAQs or some new function that will allow new members to search for thier questions they wish to be answered on how to beat certain tracks, which cars are best suited for the situation, things to to try out, etc.... instead of having a forum like this.

As an ex-moderator on a much smaller GT board, I'll put my two cents worth in....

Forums are generally more desirable than FAQs since forums allow one to get the wisdom of many people other than the author of the FAQ. Sure, you could make an FAQ and keep updating it and editing it, but that is a LOT of work. Forums generally edit themselves.
FAQs are also limited in scope. If you have a question that's not on there, you're SOL. Add in that some of the greatest sources of knowledge I've encountered were slightly off-topic gems I merely stumbled on accidentally that answered important questions I hadn't yet thought to ask (thanx to Team TOONer) and you'll see that on balance, forums are a VERY good thing.
However, forums tend to bloat up quickly. You have the off-topic answers and the false wisdom of people who don't have all their facts right. The moderators can't keep up with it all; they are only human.
If we could get every new user to use the search engine....
