forgot its rwd... doesnt it have the system where torque is delived to front wheels and cut of from rear wheels in hard turning anyways.... isnt that was atessa is or whatever.... i am no 32 expert.... but if this system is imlpimented... the 32 would have less need for the AWS ... and if AWS is on one car... y not put it on other cars that have it in real life... i have faith in PD and believe they implemented this spec... it doesnt matter if they tell you or not... how could it be the ultimate driving simulater if it did not account fro this simple... ok not simple... but realtively simply aspect

Well I KNOW!! they didn't do it in the vr-4 because I've been looking for it for the past 3 days due to that same comment in a different post....And I'm pretty sure they didn't impliment it in the 300zx...I'll check on that too

even IF they did impliment it in SOME model cars...they implimented it wrong, because AWS isn't variable to the speed of the car..If you're stationary in a Vr-4 the Rear wheels would turn along with the front ones..That is IRL that is...Same goes for a Stealth R/T

its a shame then.... but hard to tell probably... y is it that a stealth kinda looks like a gt0... you probably read it on the vr4 page where me and kideng were talkin

Lol..It was inevitable before I got to shine..So here we go...GM owns part of Mitsubishi..It just happens to be the automotive aspect of it..Mitsubishi developed the GTO before GM knew of it's capabilities...So GM Figured it out....And made mitsubishi make a plant in the US...So the US started producing 3000GT VR-4's and the other models and what not..And GM & Dodge decided.."Hey let's make some direct $ off of it" so Dodge made a lighter ..less luxurious..and less powerful version of the Vr-4..The Dodge Stealth.....Both of which worked off of the exact same chassis..and feautured the same drivetrains....And the reason VR-4's and R/T's weight so much is that the other versions of the 3000gt and stealth had Targa tops and T tops and what not....So To save money every chassis was built with the stiffeners and added support so the car wouldn't flex so the targa would remain in tact.....So the Vr-4's and R/T's can be lightened really easy.....As it goes for the eclipses and the Talons and the Lasers That was a joint effort between D. Chrystler/Mitsubishi Called DSM or Diamond Star Motors....DSM's are more known for their turbo models..Like the Eclipse GS-T;GSX..the Talon TSi...And the Laser that was Turbo aswell....Those are all "DSM" cars...The other models you see..RS's GS's ESi's etc etc..Are just individual efforts to market the body design of the car....The Eclipse version is the most popular however..The plymouth laser was the lightest of all the model DSM's..And don't be confused..The Stealth and the 3000GT/GTO are not parts of the DSM trademark......Another often overlooked DSM car is the Galant VR-4..Galant VR-4's started out as a strictly japanese car..But once again GM saw how well it was doing..And decided to bring it to the states..So I forgot what year it was brought to the states..but from that year on...They were "DSM'S"..
P.S. 2nd GEN DSM's had a problem with crank vibration or crank walk....And Valve clapping....
1st Gen DSM's or those with 6 bolt blocks didn't..So that's why you hear many DSM fans talking about..."I need a 6 bolt for my 4g63"....The 4g63's found in DSM's are not even close to those in Evo's

The 300ZX is 4WD? I thought it was FR...:O
People have said that it is extremely hard to maintain a 3000GT, partly because most of the engine parts are controlled by a CPU which is a very hard to find replacement part.

No dodge..The 300zx is AWS...All Wheel Steering....Second...3000GT's arn't hard to maintain....just like Silvia S15's transmissions..People say their transmissions are crappy.....they're just treated wrong

So it's AWD, not 4WD?
I didn't say that the transmission was bad...I was just saying that most of the parts were controlled by a CPU which is hard to replace, and so if a part had to be replaced every say 50,000 km, it would be hard to replace it...

NO Dodge..it's AWS...A-W-S ALL Wheel STEERING...
AWD and 4WD only differ in this sense..4WD technically the power in each of the wheels can differ slightly..in AWD..the power in the rear 2 are identical and the power in the front 2 are identical..Not all 4 have to match..but the pairs do...Second.....I wasn't saying the tranny was bad I was comparing it to the S15 Silvia's transmission...Because that has been said to be bad...

Yeh, so AWD is short for:
All Wheel Drive
That's what the YAW is for isn't it? To change the torque application to the wheels, therefore changing the power getting to the wheels, and making it a Front or Rear Wheel, or if you have 50%, it becomes a true 4WD...:)
Ok...but most people don't treat a car that costs 40,000 plus AU (GTO VR4) very badly over here...:)

yeah...but now wer're talking about PD leaving out the AWS aspect to MOST of the cars who have it....and supposedly only having it in the Skyline's

I might have to test the Scoobies as they have an AWD (the Liberty and the Blitzen both do...:))

......AWD isn't AWS.........We're talking about AWS...All Wheel steering..The Rear wheels turn slightly with the front wheels to improve turbing radius..........

if you were to turn right in a Vr-4 the rear wheels would turn left...thus causing the rear to move in sync with the front

So what's the difference between AWS and AWD!?

AWD is a DRIVETRAIN..IT MEANS ALL 4 WHEELS ARE GETTING POWER!!! AWS
IS A STEERING SYSTEM MEANING ALL 4 WHEELS MOVE IN SYNC TO HELP THE CAR TURN

All Wheel Steering = all four wheels turn whel the steering wheel is turned. (the rear less then the front).

All Wheel Drive = all four wheels get power from the engine, in what ever ratio..

Okay, thanks for that...I didn't really understand these different concepts...as i thought with an AWD or 4WD this "AWS" comes with every 4WD.

AWS is availible on the 3000gt...the 300zx..The Skyline GT-R's...The new Dodge Ram trucks...and some other cars i don't remember
