That Juan Pierre's pretty good.

I'm going back tomorrow, and next weekend, too, assuming the Marlins don't sweep (which they will).

M5 whats the stmosphere like at Yankee stadium?

After the first night, everybody was sad. And everybody who wasn't was afraid to speak for fear of being beaten to death by drunk Yankees fans in Bronx late at night. After the final out - a fly-out to Juan Pierre in center - everybody simply cleared the stadium, and quickly, without much emotion at all.

Interestingly it wasn't much different the second game, aside the major scoring, which all happened early - Matsui's 3-run homer in the first brought everybody to their feet (as do all two-strike situations against the Marlins, which is unheard of outside the playoffs) and Rivera's double to center in the second had similar effect, as did Soriano's 2-run in the fourth. Then everybody was pretty much bored until the 9th when Torre took out Pettitte, which pissed off the crowd, though I think they gave a standing ovation. There was clapping at the end and everybody filed out happily, ready for another Yankee World Series win.

Did you see the manager's manage? If you did, could you explain to Grady Little how it is done? I don't think he quite grasps it.

Marlins are going to win three in Florida. Yeppers.

Marlins already lost two. But they're on their way to winning one.

Looks like I'll be seeing the players play and Jack McKeon manage next weekend too! Yaay!

That makes two of us, Doug.

And yes, I stayed all 12 innings.

By saying that you are implying that people actually left world series baseball game in New York City. Who? I want names.

About 6-7 people that were seated behind us. And a lot of people in the upper decks of the stadium. It doesn't matter to me how important or unimportant the match is, if there isn't a family emergency...I stay until it's done.

I guess time, money, and great moments grow on trees for them.

How do you know? You don't have to wait in line for 12 years or spend 24 million dollars to get a ticket.

It isn't out of the realm of possibilities that you will be able to see a World Series game in person. Unless, have you been banned from every stadium?

Well they're always building more. And with new technology he can change his identity, even his physical appearance. He could become a she with a different name and no one would know! (:
