I personally think it may have to do with Bugatti plainly telling PD that they didn't want that feature with their car, much like how that bastard of a company EA, told code masters that the only way they could put Porsche in GRID, was if it was ONLY in quick play and nowhere else, so really I wouldn't go pointing fingers at PD just yet.

You can change the wheels on the Veyron in FM3 (released before GT5) and on the Veyron and the Veyron SuperSport in FM4 (released after GT5) so I really doubt that its because Bugatti said no...

Not really. You better check this links first.

So what folks? After about a page of crap, jokes and lots of "+1" are you still dening you can't change wheels in a real life Veyron or they don't even exist? What's next?

Did you read your link? its the first Veyron in the world with aftermaket wheels... that means its the only one, that means its the exception to the rule... that means that you've just prooved yourself wrong and everyone else right...

Yes, yes it does.
Yeah the body looks stupid, but something about the paint......

Maybe T10 has some deal with Bugatti, like they had with Porsche in FM3, but I'm not saying that that's the reason, maybe it is PD's fault, but I'm just throwing it out there.

Yea pretty much what I was about to post. This happened in what? the last month? That was dated for Nov. 2011 so PD honestly wouldn't want to implement their generic yet simplified set of wheels on something so unique as the Veyron. Besides I like the stock wheels and a car like that really shouldn't have aftermarket wheels. Most will just make it look gaudy.:yuck:

For example the Volk TE37s are a great rim right? Yea who in their right mind would put a rim that is worth what, $400 a piece on a Veyron where a one of its lugnuts probably costs that lol.

You guys kill me. Its a game folks and PD can let us change rims on the Veyron if they wish. There are other plebeian cars in game that PD didnt let us change rims on so its got nothing to do with RL this and that. I was looking forward to changing rims on this car the most. It is a big let down for me but at least my Porsches and MKIV Supra look really nice now.

Dude now tell me why you can change them in FM3 and FM4. Exception to the lolwut. They do in real life so they can do in the game as well. Not to mention GT is not even a full sim, never forget it's still a bloody console game. That theory is quite a delusional fail really.

Maybe Kaz just wants to keep the "real driving simulator" image in tact where the Bugattis fitted with aftermarket rims for "SEMA show purposes" will never see 250mph with those rims on it.

In GT3 I used to change the rims on all cars even race cars... and now I cant but thats not the point you were trying to make insulting every one... the point was that you could do it IRL and gave several (failed examples of it)...

If the point was - its a game lets us pimp the cars has we want - that I would say fairplay to you... we should be able to play as we like, if I like the car stock Ill have the car stock if I dont like it stock then Ill change it...

I really dont care all that much about changing wheels... what I do care is about respect and presenting the facts as they are so that we can all learn something from each other (even if it is something as trivial as this)

It should be restricted on any kind of exotic car IMHO.

Jai
It should be restricted on any kind of exotic car IMHO.

Why...lots of people with exotics dont see their $500k+ purchase as standing out enough and change the wheels to aftermarkets, theres a HUGE market for wheels for Lambos, Ferraris, etc.

But there are certain cars out there that do not and should not have wheel options

I do care about respect either and GTPlanet moderators in another thread have stated they don't like people complaing bacuse people complain. This is a disappointment thread for not being able to change wheels in a Veyron. The only thing people like you is doing here is bashin everyone who is not agreeing with that no sense theory "not change wheels in Veyron/Prototypes because bla bla". And then after being proved wrong with a real life company building custom wheels for that car, and with a photo of a GT5 standard prototype with custom wheels, you tried with "exception to the rule = doesn't even exist" which in my book is quite a no sense statement, not happy enough you still trying to bring some utterly fake moralistic argouments to the thread.
This thread is jokes :L
Yes it is.

Yes it is.

The car goes over 400 KMH and needs specific wheels to do the job... theres only one in the world (according to your own link) with aftermarket wheels and we dont even know if it is for showrooms porpuses or what... so I would say that it is an exception...

Fake moralistic arguments? Less fake then your Cougar Veyron :D

The thing is I do agree with most of your opinions regarding the game (even in this thread) but in this case I just disagree on the arguments you presented based on false facts. Is that so hard to understand?

Id bet if you polled GTPlanet that most everyone would like PD to allow the Veyron to change it's wheels. If they aren't going to make it a premium at least give us a wheel change as consolation in the next update.

The exception = not possible is nothing but ridiculos. And "needs specific wheels to do the job" is the most obvious statement I've ever heard. Usually custom wheels in low/mid class cars are far more resistant than stock ones. In any case you can always ask the aftermarket company what you can or cannot do, it's their work afterall they know how things works. Veyron custom wheels are rare because it's not a car for everyone. Even if you are rich you may prefer other cars. But they are not rare because they are impossible to do or the Aftermarket companies aren't able to match certain specifics. Furthermore it's been reported that stock wheels may be not strong enough at speed or in critic sitations with certain cars. You wanna check this link, I warn you it's quite a long story.
What is remarkable especially is that the stock rims broke in the middle, like in so many other crashes with Murcielagos, whereas my aftermarket rims survived my accident without breaking!

So as you can see you can't be 100% sure about stock wheels or stock components either. So dude whatever you say I don't care. Believe what you want now couze this story is getting old. Time is money and I rather move on.

I dont know why you bothered in the first place... but your last statement prooves my point... you might be right but the way you present your arguments is wrong... Dude

Aha the way I present is wrong. And fanboys posting crap and bashing people if you aren't saying something necessarily toward PD that's is perfectly ok right? I tell you what's the problem of GT: Thier fanboys. You can't have an objective discussion with them. Their fragil ego can't stand PD in a particular case may have taken a wrong decision so they're gonna flame everyone no matter how dumb some decisions are. That's everything they can do. So yeah, that's it. If you have problems with me go call moderators.. Dude.

I for one am not a fanboy, but feel putting wheels on a car such as the Veyron is just...I don't know...pointless specifically because the meager and sparse collection PD provides us will not do that car justice. I am not putting any of those mostly "tuner" wheels on that car because it would be heresy. Just my opinion though.

Seriously, lose the attitude, it's getting you no where. How do you expect people to have a decent discussion with you if you're constantly bashing them. I see your point, but being ignorant and "dominating" for lack of a better word isn't cool.. I've noticed a lot of your posts are like this.

Two wrongs dont make a right... but have it your way.

Actually I just did some research, and the rims actually do help the Veyron with its speed quite significantly, so I guess they wanted to keep it realistic?
