Had a couple of laps with some cars.

XJ220 : 10.116
(646 hp)

Nismo 400R : 10.209
(758 hp)
I think this one can be a tough competitor for the XJ220.

R390 Road : 10.665
(544 hp)
Forget this one.

I'll try the Zonda next time.

Edit : Got 10.133 in the Nismo.
What I like in this event is that you don't have to worry about getting clean laps :lol: :lol: :lol:

Nismo 400R, 10.795 sec, 628BHP, P-W-R: 2.097
I guess you have a full weight reduction to get this p/w ratio. Without any weight reduction, you would have had 758 hp, and that would have improved your time (But since it's not possible to put the weight back, you have to win the car another time.

i got 2 of them, one that i used to get the time and earlier today i won it again in the red emblem races.

I know that's true in theory, but I don't think I've ever tried it to see if it really works that way. I'll pick a car and do a little experiment.

I tuned my Nismo 400R without doing any weight reduction, and I could upgrade it up to 758 hp and stay above the 2.000 p/w ratio. I got a consistent 10.2 run with it, and my best is at 10.133

also you can always go ot trade, load your own garage, buy the 400r or anyother car, you could have hundreds of the same car if ya wanted.

I got an X-port, so I can have 200 cars of the same type and I can even choose the color of each of them. Though, I won in the game the one I drove for the test.

Tried the weight reduction experiment, and confirmed flat-out's assertion that with a minmum PWR, the car will do better without the reduction:

Z06, 1409 kg, 690 hp, 2.042 PWR, ran 10.801 best, with lots of 10.81x.

Z06, 1197 kg, 586 hp 2.043 PWR, ran 10.835 best with some other 10.83x and .84x.

Settings were the same for both cars, except the gears, which I tweaked up a bit to suit the lighter car, but ran stock on the heavier car (a very good natural fit). So the difference might really be a bit larger than the results show, since there's probably a tenth or so to be had from gearing on the heavier car.

Is this a great simulation or what? :lol:

It is a great simulation, but we limit ourselves to a minimum p/w ratio, which is not an accurate measurement of performance.
Power is much more important than weight in a 400m run. Actually I think the torque value would be more accurate. Did you check it on both your cars ?

Hadn't thought to check the torque, but fortunately, had not reloaded the game yet.

The 690 hp car had 82 ft-lb at 5500 rpm, while the (now) 587 hp car has 72 @ 5300.

So the heavier car has about 17.5 % more weight and power, but only 13.8 % more torque. Too bad they don't have some split times for the 400m. I might expect the lighter car to be a little quicker initially, and to fall behind at the higher speeds when wind resistance, which is equal for the two cars, becomes the dominant factor.

Given this impact of power, I tried 2 more cars tonight, but without the result I was expecting :

Aston Martin V8 Vantage
Weight = 1990 kg (stock)
Power = 992 (full modded)
Ratio = 2.006
Average time on 400m = 11.3

Mitsubishi 3000GT
Weight = 1710 kg (stock)
Power = 855 hp (Turbo step 4 + small cooling system)
Ratio = 2.000 ;)
Average time on 400m = 10.4

I think I'll stick with the XJ220 and the 400R.

Right, but then you can only have replays.
With an X-port / Shark-port you can re-organize your garage and put whatever car you want in it, plus you can make hybrids...

Is this comp still running?
Nobody informed me that it is not, so I guess it's still running.
The only thing is that most of us are busy with the WRS, but you can just practice and post your times and replays.
