Idea for a Gran Turismo 5 commercial

Gran Turismo has had some decent commercials but non really stand out all that much. Here something i came up with today.

1. The commercial starts out at Le Mans 24 at 1:00 AM with the camera doing a helicopter fly over of the front straight.
2. The camera then goes over the Pit lane with all the cars, teams, and garages.
3. Then it gets to a garage with Hans Stuck and Derek Bell sitting next to each other talking about the next stint. *You hear the noises of the cars passing the front straight* then Bell grabs his helmet the Pit Crew get readyfor the pit stop.
4. The camera goes broadview down pit straight as a pit member runs out to wave the car to its proper pit area. *no car is coming*
5. He then runs back and the pit crew helps Mario Andretti out of the stationary race simulator. Mario straps Bell in to the simulator and the Pit crew rush to wipe the screen and look to adjust the simulator as GT5 plays on the screen looking real time. Mario then walks to Hans and says "this might be the year i finally win it". *Pit crew give high fives for good effort as commercial finishes with the GT5 Logo coming over Mulsanne Straight*

What do you think.
 
A little hokey for GT. Might make a nice Super Bowl Commercial, maybe.
 
Would look pretty cool. Wont ever happen but it would be cool.
 
HOLY CRAP!!!! Just last night I was planning on asking GTPlanet members for GT5 vids so I could make an Unofficial GTPlanet Gran Turismo 5 commercial!!!!

Your right, Kazunori Yamauchi is perfect at his roll at GT and anyone else will prolly screw GT up real bad. *GT is successful because Kaz is a car enthusist and if it were any other way, GT wouldnt be half as good!

He is the only person in the video game world that continually appears on "THE POWER LIST" for 2008 he placed #32. Motor Trend wrote that he has access to car designs before they're avaliable to the public.

I have an even better idea for a Gran Turismo 5 commercial. Ready? Here goes

  1. The Commercial starts with a car only a young hollywood starlet would drive like, say, a mercedes-benz SL55 AMG
  2. it shows it driving on a random GT5 track like, say, Fuji Speedway
  3. it drives around for a full lap, then does a 180 full stop
  4. Gets out of the car, walks towards the camera and takes off her racing helmet
  5. Surprise! It's *Insert Young Hollywood Starlet Here*
  6. Says, :And you thought only men play this game/drive fast cars, huh?"

See? Easy as pie. Appeals to the everyday man ages 16-45.

So, what do you think?

it should be epic that highlights real motor sports, but we should expect some weird commercials.


I want to see an ad just like this for GT5, except with real in game sound.

How about this:

3 million units sold in UK, day one.
 
I think that they should use all game play, re-creating real world races.
 
Lamborghini's+Ferrari's+RUF's racing at The Ring. Show some damage, body modifications (livery if it's there) and you got a start!
 
Something that doesn't involve real classic cars trading paint! :grumpy:
 
Start off with the rear view of the Nissan GTR (the whole car). A man opens the door, driver's side, step into the cockpit and start the engine. We get a nice sound from the car and great soundtrack that usually would accompany a GT games. Then the camera would zoom in from the long shot of the rear view straight through the back window onto the centre display unit (which incidentally designed by PD). The GT5 logo and the release date is shown on the display unit. The GTR accelerate,, the display move on the foreground while the car move into the background while music and engine noise fade away.

angry GT fans start a riot at KY's house and they are about to bust the door down then translator-san arrives in a helicopter dropping free copies of GT5
 
A nice video showing the races at night , NASCAR and WRC licenses and some damages with Moon Over The Castle in the background, I think it might be cool.

Also a funny commercial like this of the prologue, I believe it could work::lol:

Anyone remember the absolutely brilliant Shell Ferrari ad?



Why not a similar format where all GT5's poster cars (Ferrari, Lamborghini, the new GTR, Lotus Evora, Citroen GT) drive around a seemingly connected series of roads (but are actually well-known sections from well-known tracks blended together) with the final stop being at either the 'ring's pits or the Polyphony HQ?

...or how about the cars racing on the road, and then it zooms out to show the words "GRAN TURISMO" converted into a road. then under it, it says the release date
 
A promo vid GTbyCitroen style would be nice.
