Idea for a new Drift Video!!! Possible Song...

First of all, I just wanna say that I'm more than happy to starting a new thread again.(my last one was like 3 months ago).:)

I was thinking of doing a drift mix of about 10mins. with has as many GTPlanet drifters as possible (If a video is not enough than two or three would be made)

POINTERS:

1ST-Ok so I was thinking that ANY drifter that would like to participate would send me footage of about 45sec-1min 30secs of their best drifts (it may be edited,It would be better actually if it was edited to save me sometime :dopey:) in ONE certain car.

2ND-In the video(s) I would separate the footage from each individual drifter. That would mean like... If for example, I get some of my footage, I would put like a header during MY footage with my name (rofajole) and possibly a silly photo of mine ( like the ones that they show like on D1GP, you know what I'm talking 'bout??) right next to my name just for fun.

3RD-Like I said above, If you would like me to put a photo next to your name, then please send me a picture of yours (obviously)

4TH-It does not matter your skill level!! This video is just to tell people that there are drifters here at GTPlanet that are able to work together and make a great looking video(s). (WOW that was corny :) )

PS.If you would like a specific song to be played during your footage, please say which one and I'll try to find it and download it. And you can also tell me what exact part of the song (Like at Minute... X:xx).

Ok I think that's 'bout everything I gotta say. Just leave me some pointers and ideas of what you think and if you would like to participate. Or even if you think I'm just retarded and you think I should just go hide myself in the closet :dopey: , it doesn't matter, just tell me what you think.

Well I would appreciate your cooperation on telling me if I should continue with this idea or just giving up on it!!

I would like to inform everybody that the videos should be given to me by Sunday, December 7th.

After that I will try my best to record the videos (from the people that asked me for it) and I'll try even harder to get the video posted before or at Christmas. Please give me a break if I am not able to get the video done by then. I want to do this video to look epic and I'll try my best of my capabilities to make sure I'll be able to achieve that goal. Thank you for all your cooperation people!

P.S. I will be posting the video first at Vimeo so that you guys can see it and give me some pointers if you would like something to be fixed (Like a rough draft). If you guys like it, I'll then post it on YouTube.

I would like to tell everybody that I got mostly all videos recorded and set up, however, I had to make a slight change in the music part of the video. At first I would like to put whatever song each user would like for their section of the vid, however that would make the video kind of rubbish and it wasn't possible to make it that way.

Therefore I got this friend of mine (he's a DJ), I showed him the footage, and he made me a mix. The song can be heard here : http://www.vimeo.com/2519133

we are just waiting to get more footage so i can work the video out :) but he is talking about EVERYONE can send him footage so there can be a video with alot more peole not only the guys from drift chat

I use a pretty decent camera. Not the best but theres no flickering or anything.

Well first of all I wouldnt care of the way I get the footage. If you (mightyman) wanna send me the footage through rapidshare it's cool.

Second, Pat I dont have a capture card either so I just use a camcorder. And I would prefer the footage to be with only you (therefore single-player) because I wanna divide the footage from all the drifters involved

Third, Fujiwara creating AIM is pretty simple and you don't have to download it. Just go to meebo.com and you can use AIM online with all the features that the software gives you. You still gotta create an account on AIM.com though. Or you can just send me the footage like MightyMan, through RapidShare, Megaupload, SendSpace, or w.e. it doesnt matter.

It don't matter. And if you would like to request a song for your part of the vid, just say so
 
I haven't got great recording equipment nor have I played much lately, however there might still be some footage one of YOU can record of me on the Fuji GT drift trials, Dodge Viper/Tuned on S1s, take the second (longer) section only though :).

That is, if it's available in the top 10 still. I doubt it.

Ok man i'll check it out to see if it's still there. If it is, I'll record it for you. But I use a camcorder so not that great of quality.
 
Well it's not really my place to criticise quality of recording, it's the content that matters to me. It's not an amazing run but it's just something extra you can have :) if it's there.
 
Well it's still there, Fuji GT Pro - Viper/Tuned and about 6500 points IIRC. It's hardly an amazing run, but it's a gap filler.
 
I would actually like to get as much footage from everybody this weekend as possible, so that I can check my footage and how I'm going to plan it.
If you got any ideas, feel free to say so

Will be doing more tomorrow.

I really need the wheel to make the drifts look proper :indiff:
 
How you want me send you the footage I'm just editing some now, you want 1 car 1 track right, well thats what im doin for ya, the footage will be ready later today

Hey there rofajole footage is ready 1min 17seconds worth just some standard drifts, I looked for you on aim but couldnt find you i'm not familar with the system so maybe you have to be on when i search etc thats why you put your times? like I said footage is ready so you get back to me with how when you want it, ps i aint put a photo of me on it though lol

well yes and not really since like nobody is sending me footage at the moment. I got around 4 mins. of my footage still needed to be edited (i'm using maybe only like 2 mins of it), and from ppl I got like 2 mins. of footage and now 1:20 more from hughs1e, which has an amazing vid on the vette (good job),and a vid from Dragonistic that is like 1:10, that's like 6:30 in total. So if you send me 5-6 mins I'm only gonna use like 2 mins. of it to give more space to other ppl if they send me more footage. If a LOT of ppl send me REALLY a LOT of footage than I'll make more vids that's for sure.

But it's still an early stage to talk bout how much footage I'm going to use because there's still ppl sending me footage.

Yes I would like to get footage still. That reminds me that I still gotta capture some of mine as well. I've been asking everybody for footage and I totally forgot about recording my best. :dopey:
