Well, im going to go ahead and risk my idea! hehe.
Since we know, or we're hoping to have much more 4x4's and suv's in the next GT installement...how will we test their true functionality? Sure we can see their limits on the track...but...how do they compare..OFFROAD? Maybe they should add famous off road trails, with rock climbing or sand hill climbing..or dune racing. If you think thats too much or its just getting out of the racing idea, then why can't we limit it to, lets say...different categories made for suv's only. In example, one track just made for climbing. Or one track that has a few obstacles, like a rock climb, then a suspension travel test. Why not?

Also more events! Not driving missions! More special events! 👍

There really isn't any point:

Land Rover would crush you all!

You may be hoping, but I'm certainly not. IMO, the series has not been improved or enriched by the inclusion of "trucks"/SUVs in GT4 and will not be improved or enriched by their further appearance in the next game.

I think KY and the people at PD have already sold out enough in terms of the content in the GT series. Obviously any game has to have a certain degree of success, but I don't think selling out to please the North American audience is a step in the right direction.

Of course, GT5 will almost certainly have more SUVs in it than GT4 to satisfy the market, but I personally couldn't care less about the SUVs in the game. The only time when I do actually care about them is when you're forced to buy/drive (notice I never said "race" there ;) ) them in order to complete the game. Thus, having SUV-based challenges or missions wouldn't be something I'd enjoy.

I think SUV's have as much of a right as any other car, whether it's some American supercar or Japanese historic. It's "The Real Driving Simulator" after all.

I think some more Land Rover's and a few Jeep's would be good. Along with some offroad point-to-point challenges.

this game is for touring cars and supercars. not SUV's IMO
bah. its called the real driving simulator. its got freaking station wagons in it. we can have a few SUV.s the more cars the better. 👍

An endurance race would be interesting. :P how about some sub 200hp sportscars vs some suv's with over 350? :P

I would accept SUVs and Pick-Up trucks in this game as long as I am able to rollover a Cadillac Escalade. And then take it to a dirt course to see how pathetic it's going to run.

Anbody ever thought of the Toyota Land Cruiser?! If they put in more SUV's, that'd would be one that would sure make it. This is just me, but I would love to see which is better, a Ford Excursion or a Range Rover. oooh... :)

Uhh, the range rover. A ford excrement is just a panel van on steroids. Ugly, huge, and useless. Land Rovers, Jeeps, Hummers (H1 and maybe H3), and some GM suvs are actually made for off-roading. I'd take a Subaru over an Excursion.

In terms of trucks/SUVs, I sorta would like to have high-speed offroad "Baja" racing. That would allow for a whole new racing challenge, and a legitimate use for trucks, as well as adding cool new tracks. Imagine a point-to-point stage baja race.

Rock crawling, etc, might be nice, as well, but I can't see how it could be incorporated into competition in the game.

(For that matter, stage rally would be nice, too...)

gmc typhoon
gmc syclone
Dodge ram srt-10
Dodge Little Red express
El Camino
Jeep Cherokee srt-8
wrangler
Lamborghini LM 002

That's about all I care for.

They might as well add move trucks and Suv's, and no SUV's don't necessarily belong off-road. GT4 already has Rally Raid trucks in it, but they would have to include a whole different type of off roading, everyone seen weekend warriors with their giant rancho supension and 14" lift kits, now that is off roading, with mud. Lol.

i don't think that adding SUVs aren't bad at all.
don't forget about the Merc G55 AMG.
i drove it in real life and my god it's fast!!!!!!
great engine noise too.
it'll make bring a great competition!

I agree about more SUV's and Trucks. I mean, where does it say that the GT series is just about racing cars? Racing trucks and suv's would be just as cool.
