So basically you are in a room, and you have a few cars to give away, you know the rest;)

I think it would add to the trading gifting system. Should also allow us to sell cars online, particularly expensive and rare ones.

Your constructive thoughts?

So, another idea from the Forza franchise then?

Such things would probably help GT a lot, rather than PD just staying the course so they could say "hey, look we're doing our own thing even if it doesn't make sense!"

Let's say that a certain minimum price is fixed, then a person has to bid 1000 credits more than the previous person.

I've never played Forza, don't have space for a 360. Didn't know that an online auction system even existed:lol:

Oh yeah. There's a storefront too where people sell tunes, graphics, whole liveries, put replays up for anyone to see, etc. It's pretty robust.

No need to re-invent the wheel. Just copy what FM3 is doing.

They'll need to get the livery system in affect first. What makes it work even better in FM3 is that you can and do have VERY unique cars going up for auction. With their own paint jobs and tunes. Don't get me wrong, it's not like I'm saying DON'T do an auction. If it was ready now then put it in but it's when you can have the car be a "one of a kind" does the auction house really shine.

Nice:D

I can only imagine if PD and Turn 10 collaborate on a Gran Turismo Forza, it could probably be the most epic console racer, if they could get their different philosophies running harmoniously:)

OR if one just plain copies all the bright points of the other and add their bright points we could get that "epic console racer". And I don't care who does it either. lol Gimme my game. :)

It does seem that PD have something against copying others ideas, and like to stick to their own guns instead. That's very admirable, but sometimes you have to just suck it up and admit other people have come up with better ideas and copy them. Heck, Forza did it in a huge way to start with by basically copying the whole of the GT gameplay idea, but now they've added their own unique ideas PD need to really look at some of them and use them as inspriation.

They've clearly already taken inspiration from Forza's PI system for their own PP system, so hopefully they will follow with other things. Otherwise Forza is going to keep innovating and moving forward and PD are going to be left in the stone ages with their own ways.

It works both ways though, Forza devs still need to look at how GT are doing some things and copy/improve.

Auctioning would be cool, but 'live' auctioning would be even cooler. Imagine some cool cutscene with your avatar in a hall/room with a lot of other people, and the showcased car spinning around on-stage, while you're bidding for it.

If you can dupe, you CAN'T 'sell'.

If you could put one diamond in a magic box, close the lid, and when you opened it, now there were TWO, just how expensive do you think diamonds would be?

You would get them in Crackerjack boxes! And you would go 'Oh no... not another bloody diamond..!'

So true. I really thought for sure this was going to be like the culmination of the best parts of FM3 and GTs past into something wonderful. It seems they are trying to patch the game to some level but what that level will be is a mystery to us all. It's now in FM4's ballpark to hit the next level. They gotta know all eyes are on them now. I know damn well they don't want me over there ripping them if they fail.
