(Idea) relay drags on route X

I agree, I used to enjoy it on NFS Underground Rivals.
It was enjoyable to squeeze into the lead with a mediocre car (e.g MX5) then blast to the end with a Skyline.

Although I suppose if it was on GT5 it wouldn't be quite as loose as that.

That would be interesting. we park 2 cars, 1 at start and other at the end... both teams must race, turn around the 2nd car and get back.

I could see how people could easily cheat though. If just one person jumps the handoff the whole thing is ruined.

It would be fun on other courses as well. Cape Ring Periphery comes to mind, with 4-5 relay points across the track.

Like each team has to choose one car under 400pp, one under 500pp and one under 600pp. They can run their car in whatever order they choose, meaning you won't know which team is winning until the very end

I would start a club/league for this but I don't really have time to maintain the thread. Any volunteers? I would be up for some weekly relay races as long as we held it in a private lounge.

Neat idea. Maybe we could do some 'Recommended Relays' too, where there was a pp limit and you could only choose recommended cars to make sure it's fair.... that would be pretty interesting.

3-4 laps of Nordschliefe with switch points every half lap say

that sound pretty sweet with the 4-5-600 pp teams relaying! It would be awesome if one team used the same model for all three pp brackets, all painted the same, no way to tell them apart until the get rolling.

I used to do relay races on ssr7 when gt5 first came out. We would put the pp limit to 650 and the tunnel was the finish line it worked well with two lanes and then the loop at the front of the track.

As much as I'd like to see proper drag racing in Gran Turismo 5 on a proper drag strip, I wouldn't be surprised if Special Stage Route X was offered as a drag racing zone. The possibility would be high that you could have this track featured for drag racing.

[UPDATE] I didn't really read what this post was about earlier. Still, it wouldn't be bad seeing this sort of thing at SSRX.
