Every day there's a few new series ideas posted and usually with mixed results and very few get enough interest to get going. I myself have posted one, and have tried to join others but there's never enough interest. Either that or i see one that looks good and its all booked up.

So why not everyone post their ideas here to gauge interest and maybe we can tweak them to work out or at the very least find out why most tourtament threads fail.

I'm sure i'm not the only one that just wants to race, and joining a random online session is usually unsatisfying.


One last thing, something for the mods to consider. Why not have two online fourms, one for sign up and another for active tourtaments?
 
I guess i should start.

What do most prefer? A "spec" race with the exact same car? if so, race car or street car?
How about two or three closely matched cars with predetermined specs?

I'd be very interested in jgtc or dtm, there's one jgtc going on now, but is there enough interest for another?
 
Sounds nice to have those ideas. One being a general discussion thread and the other being a Championship thread.

To answer your question, I like spec racing with race cars. I think any series with RM'ed cars would be great.
 
anyone into LMP racing over 100 miles hit me up, we may have spaces for the series championship plus its a great way for like minded individuals, in like for like cars to have a great race.

also check the 'Le Mans World Series' thread for constant updates, aswell as one off races nights.

Yea I like this thread idea. That is the trouble I was having. I would go to sign up and it would be full, and the others just would be canceled due to falling off the front page.

I also ran into an issue once I started my own. I had generated a good bit of interest and about 30 signed up for a series (which is ongoing now) of mine. Out of that 30 only 8 participated in the first race. That is not a complaint, I'm new and it'll take time to make 16 good dedicated friends that want to participate seriously, I'm just stating the figures I got. Ideas get lost in this huge forum so having a place just for them is not a bad idea.

I started a thread the other day https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=159129 about an idea that I had come up with for a new (and hopefully my niche) series. I like the idea of racing modified cars over endurance lengths with time and weather change. It has already made it halfway down the 2nd page. I didn't see anyone else doing these types of races and assumed I could generate 15 other guys interest.

Forgive my ignorance but what is LMP? i'm sure i'm up for it, lol.
