I'm interested if its only one hour. My Number is #83. I don't see a reason to limit the car since we all have the same one.

There won't be limits. What I mean by required parts is that max tuning is what we'll run. 83 is yours

I'm definitely in for thisone!! Only thing I'm against of is the heavy damage... Too many times I've gotten taken out by some moron on the first corner just to have that person leave the race after creating the mess!!

Ohh and you should look into categorizing the cars by power to wheight, look into Sylver-sphynx's series International Touring Car Championship, he's doing a hell of a great job with keeping the cars equal!

Good point guys and I will take a look at how he's classing cars

Don't let this one die! You got a good idea going here

Ok, so it looks like it is going away from being just Nordschleife endurance, which is fine and probably will keep the series free of boredom. Adding other tracks that take advantage of the time/weather change is in the plan. With that being said I am going to update the OP with what we have so far.

For my part I'm ok with just the Ring, I think the most important thing right now is to determine wich cars are going to be running the races. That way you'll get peoples interest.

That what this thread is for, the making of this series. I personally would do it both ways, whichever is more popular. I wouldn't mind running the 3 cars i posted in the OP on Nordschleife, but I also want to have more variation. I want to include the rally tracks, some easy tracks, and some really hard tracks to keep the competition close and entertaining.

I battled with that point to begin with. If it is just one track, albeit Nordschleife, the excitement could wear off.

We'll see where it goes

I'm good with just the ring too. I havn't raced it as much as many and i could use a series like this to memorize it.

Ok, I have seem to been swung with back to my original idea of just running the ring. I have done some research and threw three cars together that I think are most closely competitive. I put it all in the OP. As you can see we could make these very close and have a really good battle on the ring. Let me know what you think

Yup! Definitely in! It's looking interesting! I'll go with the 3 car idea!!

I like the sound of it, if its a league i'd be dead last but it still sounds good. I voted up top for 1 car just because everyone would be on the same level field.

What days or times did you have in mind?

Weekends, but its open for discussion. I already host races on Monday nights.

I think the only way these three cars would be competitive would be to restrict it to 415 hp. Then, the NSX would have a slight weight advantage to help balance the huge benefit of AWD, especially on rain.

Hope you decide on Friday/weekend evenings, I can't race at a resonable time during the week...

I like the sounds of this.

I voted for the Race where we all have the same car. With even the best testing, it'd hard for anyone to out 3 evenly matched cars. We'll only know once the race is run, if there's a car which is better / worse.

I don't want to spend a lot of time and money (in game) on a car to find that it was the wrong choice.

You can have the best car in the world, but at the end it will all be up to the driver... I like the idea of diversity and think the cars should not be tunned to the max to leave room for concessions to the slower cars.
Having 3 evenly matched cars can be achieved, Silver-Symph is doing an awsome job with his touring car series all 3 cars are neck to neck all race long!

So it looks like the voting is swaying towards one car model, which was my original idea. The idea of everyone rolling the same car is for very close competition and a battle for lap times. Driving skill and tuning will be the difference, if in fact that is the way we go. I haven't had the time to actually do time testing for the three models, for which i think the AWD car may have a decent advantage. I will get to that tonight with a little help. I see what silver-symph is doing and it looks to be good, but I haven't had luck relying on the honor system, plus I think there are less issues when there are strict regulations that can't be worked around. I don't plan on tuning to the max, that break down was just what I have on my computer of every RM car from my own research.

Add me! I got a very effective way for policing Hp and weight, might be able to join you for some practice session or something...

Ok ill add you in a bit.

So, in reagards to the track list for the series I was thinking this:

*All credit goes to Fleaver for this

1.Nurburgring Nordschleife 1 hour - time change - day to night
2.Circuit de la Sarthe 2009 1 hour - time change - day to night

Then slap on the dirt tires and go

3.Toscana 1 hour - time change - day to night
Then slap on the snow tires and head to

4.Chamonix Main 1 hour - weather change

4 total races or we could run this circuit twice for 8

Opinions...

Since you guys would most likely be passing me, I voted 3 cars. That way I have some variety to look at..lol. The tracks, time and weather changes all look brilliant. Running the circuits twice would be awesome.

I'm willing to do some testing if you want. The series that Silver-Symph has setup with the three RM'd cars is trully a blast, with each car having its strenths and weaknesses. I have a evo ready to go, if we pick a course like deep forest and can get all cars within 2 seconds after mild tuning then they should be good on the ring. I dunno about everyone else but i like having some individuality in my car, and thats hard with 16 of them on track. Also there's about 25 one make series active right now.
