How about a level system, where you go through a season, and, if you do well, you are promoted. But, if you do poorly, you are demoted. All cars would have no aftermarket parts, pure stock.

MAJORS: 400+ horsepower
AAA: 300-399 horsepower
AA: 200-299 horsepower
A: 100-199 horsepower
ROOKIE: 0-99 horsepower

Another thing is, depending on the country you chose, the schedule and cars available would be different. Regardless, you would use all of that nation's major racetracks.

Hmmm, this would pretty much change the entire structure of GT. Personally I'd just keep to the way events are strcutred now but add more rules including power limits.

How about classes, where you can't compete against other classes?

CLASS A: 500+ horsepower
CLASS B: 400-499 horsepower
CLASS C: 300-399 horsepower
CLASS D: 200-299 horsepower
CLASS E: 100-199 horsepower
CLASS F: 0-99 horsepower

You can't compete against lower or greater classes. This prevents extreme difficulty while also giving you a challenge.

sorry, but thats a crap idea to me... 0% realism in it at all. :dunce: you must think its hard to tune a car in previous GT games or something... Just give me a reason, why would it be a good idea?

Yeah but it's completely throwing the current GT system out of the window and creating almost a new game. I don't think our car should be limted by class, rather each individual event should limit our car. Also theres far more to a cars performance than horsepower, for example the cars that would more than likely kill almost everything in Class E would be Caterham's and Westfields, oh and the Radical which would be THE dominant car inclass D, the SR3 only has around 250Bhp but it's performance puts it right up there against supercar's on a track. So I still think each event should decide what cars can enter individually rather than creating classes and grouping all the cars into fixed classes that all the races are based on.

Excellent idea, but you'd have to include some sort of tuning!
excellent idea? oh well... think whatever you want, but this is no Gran Turismo anymore...
