simple, which do you like more?

thoughts and alternatives?

I like a tough challenge with a decent payout. 👍 :)

I hope that PD is testing out how the "perfect" seasonal events shall be and therefore they do change the style of them continuously.

The idea of a mini-series is something I really like. Its like having more A-Spec events, which is basically all I want.

I voted for mixture. Its nice to get a big payout for a tough challenge once in a while. But I've also enjoyed seasonals 7 so far, experimenting with different cars/tyres and still getting a reward (albeit a modest one) regardless of how many times I do it.

I feel these would be about perfect, having seasonal "mini-series" would be cool! They just need the A.I. to be a bit more challenging, and it would be great! I'm satisfied!

Yes, the AI doesn´t fight for their position, it should be like in "F1 2010" where the computer fight the position with it`s life.

I don't really care about the actual events - they're always fun

I miss the large payouts though, and they should keep them one-shot sprints instead of being able to repeat

Maybe the ones that you CAN repeat should be placed in a separate "A-Spec" type area

Assuming PD doesn't release an unlock code, No restrictions (suggested restrictions welcome) very high payout.

Races with difficulty objectives: using apropriate cars from a list.
Objective 1: win the race =+$100,000
Objective 2: using sport hard or lower tyres=+$500,000
Objective 3: using unmodified car=+$700,000
Objective 4: win and make no contact with other cars or barriers or leave the road using an unmodified car=+$1,500,000

and so on, just an idea.

Keep the races pretty much as they have been, make them better paying (repeatable or one-time, doesn't really matter to me.)

Give us 3 sets of optional restrictions to meet for the bronze, silver and gold awards (with nicely tuned difficulty of course) but pay out the cash for winning regardless of what restrictions we choose to apply.

Random car award for each series would be nice too :)

I want to see high payouts on Seasonal races, also higher EXP. Do not do TTs, unless bored, or Drifts. Make the vehicle requirements somewhat loose. I will usually "adjust" the car to suit the field depending on how hard I want to drive. I do like to "collect" all positions up to and including the position I finish. When "retrying", I only want to collect the "CRs" for the next finishing positions.

Hmmm...sounds like an interesting idea!

I'm kinda repeating what I said in the other thread -

The best way to please both factions is to have two sets of seasonal events.

Set 1 (for everyone) - huge Cr. reward; little Xp reward. No restrictions. (and short ~10 min races, maybe)

Set 2 (for the hardcore) - little Cr. reward; huge Xp reward. Heavy restrictions. (and long 30 min+ races, maybe)

That way, the vast majority will be satisfied.

I think the current idea of FF, FR and 4WD is quite good and the payouts are ok. They should mix this up some more and have each event inside the groups vary weights and power and therefore the payouts.
This would allow us to explore our UCD purchases and race various cars that looked good at the time but had previously never found a use for.

On the other hand the F1 event is a pain, it should be like the schwimmwagen event. Payout covers the cost of an unusual car that may not otherwise appear in your garage and non-repeating would be acceptable. For the F1's - 3 events, 4 mill each, no repeat, done.

They should start off how they originally were, with high payouts. Then after completed, they become repeatable lower payout races. At least $100,000 for the repeatables. Otherwise I'll go grind European Championship for more cash.

Also they could raise the difficulty initially and tone it down after completed. Or the other way; raise the difficullty after the higher payouts are completed.

Or just offer a large payout for completing the entire set of events with golds.

I voted for "Strict Req. - high payouts (non repeatable)".
Which is how it originally was.

I liked the ones with the high payouts.
I'm not much of a collector, but when a friend comes I want a wide selection of cars to choose from, and several in different categories (several DTM's, several typical tuning cars, a bunch of un-modded exotics, several race cars, ...).
You don't have THAT much choice in Arcade, so you gotta buy them, so you need money, so big-payout-seasonal-events are very welcome.

If the high payouts are an issue for PD, I'd be equally happy with something like this:
Seasonal championships or a grouped set or races.
Winning the champ. or all the races nets you a prize car.
Now, a fixed car will have ppl complaining that they already have that car. "Booo useless!"
A random car will have ppl complaining about their 'bad luck' getting a lousy car. "Booo I wanted the other one!"
So... let them select one car out of a selection of - let's say- 5 cars (that are similar in power, type, ... ).

Any thoughts on this kind of setup?

Edit: Oh, and I'm perfectly fine with unrepeatable. Well... lower or no payouts for a second run.

A bit of this and a bit of that.

That way we maximise the amount of moaning on the forum :)

I always wished it was like GT4 where the game calculates how even the playing field is by assigning you proper A-Spec Points, with 200 being the hardest. If they can do that, and put it into account that the harder it is, the higher the payout/XP, it would be perfect for me.

Since that's very unlikely, I'm fine with whatever really. However, a prize is pretty cool. Plus a mini-series would usually give extra $$ for winning the championship. Then again, if the payout is similar/worse than the offline A-Spec events, I don't want to be stuck with it. So... I'm voting for the last one...a mix.

👍

I actually like the new setup for the SE. I don't care much about the cr. and xp. If you enjoy the game and keep playing you will eventually get to level 40...why need to rush? The only thing i think would be fun is if you'd get a prize car after you get gold on all three races...no complaint...just a suggestion! :)

Seasonal events #1 was the best IMO

I would like to see a balance between the two - or perhaps alternating one week after the other ;)

I think a mix of 1-3 would be more interesting, although the first Seasonal Events were pretty good in my opinion.

I would love them to be harder and I would prefer if they went back to the way the had the exp. points and money set up. I don't cate if you can only win the prize once, I want those massive amounts of cash and exp. points for each bonus race. I hope those days aren't permanently gone.

I like challenge, so I pick: Strict Req. - high payouts (non repeatable)
On the beginning of seasonal, that was max FUN...

This is all about incentives and giving people a reason to drive better -- we don't have anything like that. I was thinking along the lines of a set horsepower for the race, just as the S7 races do, but scaling like the following (in addition to your good bonus ideas)

If the suggested HP is 300
  • You win with a car at 400HP = $25k
  • You win with a car at 300HP = $50k
  • You win with a car at 250HP = $100k
  • You win with a car at 200HP = $250K and a trophy, and some kind of badge, leaderboard ranking, or a car with a special paint job that cannot be bought, only earned, giving you the real token of racing superiority that you deserve, so you can be happy and stop complaining in the forums about people who enjoy the game differently than you.
  • You win with a Red Bull = $20,000,000 because let's be honest, you're not looking to race, but to make money and buy cars, so here's the money. Enjoy the game the way you want, and don't ever complain about grinding in the forums anymore.

If I knew that I could make 10 times as much in a race by choosing a slower car, tuning it, then racing perfect lines, that's what I'd do.

👍 It is not like it is so hard to do. While I appreciate scraps we are getting for SE7, can't help but be disgusted by the lack of thought and effort that PD has put in to crafting these.
