Ideas for a WEC series

So after watching the 24 Hours of Le Mans I got some inspiration to make a WEC series. This will run probably throughout the Summer (Northern hemisphere). The classes will be LMP1, P2, GTE Pro, and GTE AM. LMP1 will be required to be close cockpit and must be a LMP. Probably the Peugeots and Bentley. LMP2 will be open cockpit. These will be the R10 and something else. Each one will have two of the same car working as a team. In the GTE class there will be Aston Martin V12, Ferrari 458, Viper, and Corvette, C7, because we don't have the newest Viper, so something has to be new right? The only problem we have in GT5 multiplayer is endurance races. The races in GT5 are counted by laps. So this is my idea of doing it. We'll do it in the pre-race practice mode...thing... Once everyone's ready we reset the map (which also resets the total time) and once you can enter the track the race begins. Because we'll be starting from pit lane, we'll pretend it's a Le Mans start (You run to your car and drive off at the start of the race). Most races will most likely be 1-3 hours. If people are interested i'll start working on the details.
 
Exactly what I'm trying to do right now... only you had Strakka Racing which ran an open topped LMP1 HPD ARX 03a, so therefore open topped LMP1s shouldn't be completely taken out.
And the R10 TDI is VERY underrated ;)

In other words... the one that doesn't have a single issue (not mine), and the one that is so far beyond broken that completely restarting was the only option.
I never get decent people for things like this.
 
Just saying I have full working Le Mans GTE specs.
 
^Mine actually work at virtually all tracks with IRL GTE cars.
 
I have GTE specs as well if everyone's gonna come brag. :sly: More cars than Furi too. :p

Yes, but those races are usually held in memto89's lounge.
A lot of planning goes into determining time and distance for online endurance races. But I have a solution for this that I think could work and will apply to a pair of spot races I hope to use to launch an idea for a pre-2010 FIA GT Championship-style series. Set a certain number of laps and then set a maximum time to complete that number of laps. Like Petit Le Mans' 10 hours or 1,000 miles, whichever comes first layout.
