This morning I tried the new seasonal event at Laguna Seca. I was driving a 430 Scuderia and, though I'm a bad GT driver, I managed to win. But that was not easy, and not because of my poor skills. That "guy" (AI-controlled guy) with the GT-R wanted to kill me and also the other "guy" with the V16T had some bad ideas. At first I thought it was just an accident, but they crashed three times in the same race in the same way, and against me.

I'm writing this post after I have done another try and they are still so aggressive.

I thought the AI should be more aggressive AND intelligent, not idiot! :boggled:

Here's the vid:

You can see that the 430 was actually raced by me from the racing suit and the helmet, so don't start to comment like "heueuheue you was drivin the gtr n not the scud", please..

They usually brake too early, now it seems they're breaking too late.

:ouch:

I don't usually cut it, but I was looking back when I made that corner, to see where the GT-R was. I was scared by him because he started to be very aggressive, and I was right!

That's Kaz's human drama at work. Seems to have worked on you as you were so intimidated by the AI behind you ("I don't usually cut it, but I was looking back when I made that corner, to see where the GT-R was. I was scared by him because he started to be very aggressive, and I was right!"), you were paying more attention to him than the road ahead and you ended up cutting that turn. :sly: Human drama....works perfectly.

 Sometimes, idiot AI can help you win, so they're helping you, not hindering you.

I was trying to get two things together at the Bathurst A-Spec race today: a win for me, and no crashes involving my car. I tried it for a few hours but the opponents were hell bent on forgetting to brake (example: last corner), so I failed every time. Thank you exaggerated slipstream. 👍

Maybe, just maybe , he got really mad on you ,when he saw you cutting that turn ?
>Wtf that human player is doing ??? I'm gonna teach him a lesson:lol:

Haha, that was my first reaction as well. "You cheating bar steward, I'll show you!". The AI copying your off into the final turn and hitting the barrier in exactly the same place and location made me laugh as well.

They definitely need some adjustments, I'm not sure who is QA testing these and giving it the thumbs up with a straight face.

haha, I thought I'm alone until i saw this.

One thing I learn to avoid this is that, I let them take the lead by chasing them and pass them in the last lap. If you chase them for a while, they usually make silly mistakes or slow down to let you pass and it is safer in the last lap.

Just wait for "expert" race. Not only will you get mashed off track but they will throw in a 3-5 second penalty for ramming. I've lost at least 3 races on final lap, final corner because of this.

i had that with the last Suzuka Expert race, this time i was prepared for that, still happened, but less this time.
I won Mount Panorama the first try, and i'm a bad driver ( according to youtube comments:dunce:)

I think PD copied the physics of 8 year olds in dirty rooms and put it into the A.I.

LOL, I don't think you play regular public rooms enough :D

To be fair, I have actually seen this kind of in real life. I passed a guy on the last corner on a track day and I knew this knucklehead would try something going into the first corner. I took my regular line and braking point and watched as he dove down the inside, braked WAAAYYY too late, and rode right off the track and into the weeds.

And then there's this guy ... ;)

You think that's bad, you're lucky you missed the shenanigans at the Expert Seasonal at Spa the other week  Drunk AI in charge of Group C cars; it was absolutely hilarious viewing :p

Yeah, that event was ridiculous. I just passed the leading C60 and built a bit of a gap and then he dove down my inside at La Source as if he didn't brake until he reached the apex. He then was "broken" for a while as he slowly returned to the track over the kerb and then continued to drive as if on a pit speed limiter until he reached Eau Rouge, by which time he fell back to 3rd even though the next car was like 10-15 seconds behind.

In the Expert seasonal race at Bathurst at the first lap (I tried it twice), at the second corner the first 3 cars in front of me shunted in the wall, while in the 3rd lap the Huayra did the same :odd:

In that one I took the lead starting 3rd lap got hounded till final corner and again got hit from behind and penalized ai 1&2 pass. Spent lap 4 trying to get past blocking 2nd place
and on last lap final corner I pass for the win. I've read some people with same experiences on this one in the seasonal forum. Exciting? yes .Fair? not so much...

Yeah AI now makes mistakes too. I also played this couple of times and AI often out brakes and runs wide. I was setting up the AI for last lap overtake and suddenly found myself too far for overtake. In the last corner at laguna seca I tried a desperate move. But I lost because I tried to outbrake him who already missed his mark big time  We both went off but he won. But it was fun nevertheless.

So yeah AI can be too aggressive with braking and make lots of mistakes too.
