Unlikely. The car was in development for months before the game's release. And a lot of the promotional material for it emphasises that it was designed by Adrian Newey, who is probably the most respected Formula 1 car designer of all time.

In response to the thread title and the thread title alone, if Ferrari had won the F1 World Championship there would be a whole load of disillusioned fans thanks to Alonso's completely unacceptable, unsportsmanlike conduct.

Back on topic, though, I'd like to see a Ferrari X2010, presumably the horn button would broadcast the message '[insert PSN name here] is faster than you, can you confirm you understood this message?' in a northern accent into any car in front of you.

It would be very interesting if PD went to Ferrari, McLaren etc and asked them to design a world beating car with no limits as they did with Red Bull, just to see if they could make something faster.

You know they'd call it something different, though. Ferrari would have to go with something smooth and Italian. I was just trying to translate different English names in Italian, and they all come out sounding like Lamboghini's--and you know the perfectly-tailored suits at Ferrari would never go for that.

Best I could come up with is Ferrari Tempesta. That's "storm" in English... Still kinda sounds like the name you'd give a new Lambo...

Unfortunately Ferrari haven't innovated a race car for years. They don't have any leading technical guys - so don't expect anyone to approach them like they did Newey!

And yeah, F1 cars have been artificially slowed since the 80s because of dangerous levels of performance.

No, i saw the promo trailer for the X1 in about august/sept. With seb driving the X1. It was always gunna be Vettel rather than Mark Webber. They redo his little speech he gives at the beginning of the X1 challenge to say the he is world champion and put it in a update.

Did you not read the posts above? Adrian Newey is like the Einstein of aerodynamics and race car designing.


Oh and give F1 cars a break, there's a trillion restrictions on them. That "much slower" car is the fastest machine around the track in the planet today.

That's what I had in mind, and I think yes it would be. But then again, they had to have signed a contract with him before he won the championship right? You never know. Either way he's a better driver than Webber so Vetell Would be my first choice regardless.

Vettel is choosen because he is talented young driver and have a better future benefit for red bull team. He get more attention than webber in the red bull team. The X2010 will be still driving by Vettel regardless of who or other team that become the champion. PD already develope X2010 with Adrian Newey and red bull way before the team become champion. Its is an extra bonuse for PD as Vettel become world champion this year.

Makes you think that Red Bull actually had a #1 driver, and Webber was really #2.

I doubt that Ferrari would agree to do what Red Bull did. Think how long it took PD to get the agreement to put the road cars into the game. Having said that, they did get the F10 into the game...so you never know.

I'm starting to gain an interest in F1 racing, even though I'm a huge and devout NASCAR fan, seeing everyone talk about F1 and even driving the f10 on GT5 has got me interested.
