If Final Fantasy 7 came out for the PS3 would you buy it?

Well i almost got excited, but then realized it was just a tech demo.
But if it was to happen, id gladly pay $54+change (Cali taxes) & assuming new ps3 games are $50 USD.

what about you guys?

There was talk a few years ago of Square releasing updated versions of Final Fantasy 7, 8, and 9 on PS2.

I wonder if Square is waiting for the new hardware.
 
I definitely would get it, even if I already have it on PS1. THe Tech Demo is amazing There are a number of FF7 spinoffs in the works, the only one which name I can recall is Final Fantasy VII: Dirge Of Cerberus.
 
maybe, maybe not. I absolutely hate turn based FF-style play. but, i'd love to play it just for the fact that it's FF7.
 
Yep,I'd get it love the FF games(apart from X-2 and XI)
 
I wouldn't think ONCE! FFVII was the most fun FF to play(not best "game" but most fun) A redo of that game with few new features(like skipping the long summons after a while) would be incredible and I'd certainly throw out the 50$ for it. Especially seeing as I only buy 3-4 games a year anyway :sly:
 
I'd get it straight away, it's been ages since I played FFVII and all my memories of it's storey are good ones, I've still got the game but I have not PS1 memory card to save it on, so I'm screwey lewey'd for that. I'd expect a few improvments here and there though, other than the graphics.

I'd certainly buy it... I heard they were making an FF7 movie..? I hated FF8, and didn't get much time to play FF9 (although it was a vast improvement on 8...), but nothing seems to be able to recapture the magic of FF7... the irony was, I didn't even mean to buy the game at all... I had bought TOCA (the first one) and hated it so much, I took it back to the shop, and had to buy another game, so I got FF7... I couldn't believe how good it was from start to finish, and even played the whole thing again... :dopey:
 
Well, while I am not an RPG freak, I would give this one a try; I think the improved grafics really help to create a fantastic atmosphere....
 
I never got to finish FF7 because I wasn't strong enough for the final battles and didn't have the patience to level up any more so this will be perfect.

1) It's not certainly coming out. Though it might.

2) Wow, I'm surpised that you didn't beat it. If anything I thought the last boss(s) were too easy. I killed the one winged angel with one omnislash.

I know it's not certainly coming out, reading my post suggests otherwise though. :dunce:

I was only something like Level 60 and I don't think I even had Omnislash. I was only little. :indiff:

BTW, contrary to the belief of some, my username has absolutely no influence from or relation to final fantasy. I get it a lot on the other, more nerdy, boards i frequent.

man i remember managing to beat the weapon bosses with level 60 characters, but remember it took a LONG ASS TIME.

i hope they come up with a ff7 remake with even more features and more things to do.

Now Omnis, I'm not trying to be a jerk. But this game has been out for about 8 years. So, go ahead and play it man. We didn't really spoil anything, so don't worry.

It's been out for the PC for AGES, somewhere along the lines of 5+ years. :odd:
 
I never beat it but yea i would buy it. I would also buy FF2, FF3 if square made those into 3D and kept the classic music :)
 
Come to think of it, I've never beaten any of the F.F. games. Only Final Fantasy I've ever finished was the movie, and it wasn't that good. :D

I think, I've played the II, III, VII, VIII and the one for PS2, where kids were playing some sort of ball/sport? I really hated the last one. I did like the VII and VIII, but just couldn't finish it. I used to love RPGs, but I played the Dragon Quest/Warrior Series.

hah! Only FF I beat was FF9. :sly: The one for PS2 is FFX and it's called blitz ball. Blitz Ball ruined the game.
 
I beat all the PS1 FF's and FFX, always thought the old ones were way too hard for me lol and after my friend saved over my FFx-2 file i really couldnt be stuffed goin thru it again :guilty:.
 
It came out on the PC not all that long after the PS, closer to 7 or 8 years I think.
 
I would with bo doubt buy this game. I played FF7 in my day when I was 9--10 years old it was just such a good game. I really loved Aeris it made me mad when she died.:( I hated tifa she was a:censored:, but the rest of the character were fine with me. Cloud and his cool hairstyle, would really love for the game to come back. I never found out if it was true, but could you save Aeris from dieing, any way? :indiff:

As for FF8 it really sucked especially down to the last part where you had to beat that one woman.:banghead: Didn't enjoy playing this game at all. FF9 really a good game I would play FF7 and FF9 all over again if I could but I lost my mem. card which had a perfect game of FF7 I bought the Strategy Guide when i finished it the game first then I did it again with the Strategy Guide. 👍 Man now that I think about it I'm going to go and buy another mem. card for the ps1. :) i was a bit emotional with this game
