PD is all Japanesse quality and passion, love for cars, perfectely modeled just as if they were bouilding one.
So, what do you think, an PD overseas division, or a EU division, you think it will really help to develop future GT development?

Some who can give their services and experience to PD. You would join?

I think that this really would help PD. Because if there are offices in different countries then they would listen to the general population more and come up with a better compromise.

I know I'm in the minority, but I don't think PD needs help, aside from the hiring they're already doing.

It would be nice, PD could build better relationships with other manufacturers, not only the Jp ones.. Like nissan...

I think they need more workforce, more German, Spanish, British, French, 'merican models... tracks.

GT could become unbeatable.

What is there to 'beat' exactly?

I'm not entirely sure how things are going down with our Japanese friends right now, but common sense tells me that more locations + employers can never be a bad thing. Especially when any PD game made will more than likely be a big hit.

Silly me
Something like these...
Game Tracks & Cars (Rally tracks+, more unique cars+, +more racing tracks, +city tracks) More of these, like any ohter game, imagine 700+ premium cars from ALL over the world, tracks that nobody else could ever imagine/wish.

Game Modes, Better Online capabilities, drag, rally, online, more stuff could be added, beyond your wildest GT dream 👍

Haha we can only dream. A game as awesome as that wouldn't be good for you. :nervous:

I'm going to have to say no. I don't think it's any different then them going overseas to take pictures of cars or tracks.

Turn 10 does this if I'm not mistaken, and we see how quickly they produce DLC. And Turn 10's car selections are very tasteful!

PD can always use a helping hand. 140 staff members is clearly not enough, but the Japanese are a very proud people. I do not know if they would be willing to expand to other countries.

The outsource , there's nothing bad but outsourcing things, but in games today this leads to really low quality things, for example look at all of uncharted 3's multiplayer models... compared to uncharted 2.. the ones in the 3rd were outsourced and look horrible!!! Forzas cars are pumped out due to it being outsourced, turn ten DOES NOT MODEL CARS! Pd does =D

That I want to see their company expanded overseas. 👍

They need US studios. Bad.

So the over seas offices would listen to people's suggestions?

Why?

Not only to to this, but also negotiate, develop, cars & tracks that what I intentended

I'm happy for the GT5game, a little bit incomplete but anyway its a technological achievement:tup:
Edit... incredible game, for my a well exected "evolution" of GT5 franchise.

If having an overseas office means that PD can hire more people, then that could definitely help. If, on the other hand, having an overseas office means that PD needs to partition their current employees, then I can't see a point in doing it.

Adding an EU/US addition would only increase costs for PD. Didn't you read the news about Sony losing so much money, they are cutting costs/staffs now? As a 1st party studio, PD can stick with what it's got, if anything, do like Turn 10 and out-source. Which ever staff is working on Turn 10 DLC is doing a great job.

I voted No, especially to expanding to EU, which is too expensive, stick to in-house development.

Easier access to local cars, tracks, racing events and general racing culture. I'd say they must globalize their efforts in order to extend GT's appeal as a franchise.

It would definitely help because they could get more done in less amounts of time. The PD EU division can get more European licenses whilst the Japan PD will model the cars for example.

and for those eager for American Cars, PD USA. All the ponies they WANT/WISH.
And remembering GT2 had a lot of American Cars, a nice selection I'd say. I dont know (nobody knows) why later installments miss this market...

I like to think it would help, probably never know though

It would probably be considerably cheaper to just hire more staff than open a new office over seas.

;)

Not to mention that the only good thing that I can see with having overseas staff is the ability to model more "foreign" cars, and possibly build stronger relationships with them. Besides that, I can't see any other use with an overseas office. Unless the workers overseas are also foreign, then I can only imagine the overseas employees flirting with Nissan USA.

Yep which is true. Because The Ford Motor Company gave games similar to GT and the GT series a great sense of pride called brand acknowledgement to the manufacturers and getting in-depth with the history of the brands, the cars that they created ranging from the early 20th century to future concepts and their involvement with racing to show people their heritage. And educating people on the cars and how they behave similar in a sim and that data is close to the actual car irl.

I think this is a great achievement to be followed upon. PD should create branches in these countries.

These are some good suggestions. If PD and Sony create studios in the selected countries, the teams here can get twice or more completed for PD in the future titles of GT.

That means more info about new cars, car shows, tracks and racing series around the globe can be covered faster. And new cars and tracks can be developed in advance.

But it can be costly as well a type of trial snd error that can be much more than just hiring more people.

Which is true. If they have to send more than one employees to a office in another region, or if Sony can't give out the required funds to further this idea because of their financial hardship (yes, I read that article.)

It would be better to hire more people for PD in Japan for the two studios located there.

Yes and no.

No, because a lot of the feedback PD will gain comes from fans, usually through forums like gtplanet. It would be somewhat useless to have an office thousands of miles away from the headquarters in Japan.

Yes, because talent can be found in other countries to help with development in future titles of the GT franchise.

Well if PD cant go to where you live, you go to PD 💡 not that easy.
And the Sony Crisis... (insert facepalm here) :scared: ....:nervous: I completely forget about it! good one!

Yeah it's not easy. :nervous:

Save up alot of money to move to Japan.

Find a apartment and get a car.

Learn the language and what they do over there etc...

There's more to it as well, but those are the three I can think of right now that can be tedious.

@ShortAznGuy:

Yep, it's somewhat if-if situation right there.

But there's more people out there like Kaz (look at Dan from T10) who are passionate about cars like us, that can bring more into the GT series. And maybe if the overseas studios can connect to GTPlanet and other GT fansites. It could be possible.
