Should I just leave it on the living room setting or should I put it on small theatre for more realistic sound? I am just using the speakers on my HDTV and was curious about this.

I heard small/large theatre have more realistic sound, but is living room still my best bet for the audio setting? Thanks for any help.

Hey Matt, I was wondering the exact same thing. In the forums a lot of people of people use the small theatre setting.

you have to try.. the best for me (5.1 DTS) is advanced. but only for engines. for all the rest is low on volume.
advanced has better engine sounds but has directionality. according to the view you're in, you hear sounds connected to it, for example if you have the chase cam and view the car from the front, you'll hear the horn much louder than behind. same for exhaust and engine noise

Hmm, thanks for the input. I might just try giving the small theatre a try tonight while I play and see if I notice any differences in fidelity compared to just living room.

As far as I can tell I would have to turn up the volume when switching to small theatre just by what I heard other people say.
