Personally, I would want to live in Toronto, in a hotel.

Yes a hotel. There's something so inviting in a hotel. And I mean I really nice hotel, with really comfortable beds, and really nice complementary soaps and lotions. I seem to be more comfortable in a hotel, rather than my own house. :sly:

Easy answer:

South Beach - Miami, FLA

There isn't a place I feel more comfortable other than where I currently live. I love the people, I love the music, the food, and more than anything, the weather. Sure, its expensive... But if I had the money, I'd be there tomorrow.

Costa Rica, my brother said: crime rates are low (thanks to guards and liberal barbed-wire, but no police force), the scenery is beautiful, and the general atmosphere is very relaxed. I agree with him.

Raymond, New Hampshire (Where I used to live), in my old house.

Small quiet northern town with very little to no crime. Everyone knows each other, and generally share the same opinions and values that I do. Don't have to worry about some hoodlum trying to steal your wallet, stab you, etc. Most of all though, the seasons are what I would enjoy.

I say my old house because It was pretty perfect to me. Two stories, all hardwood upstairs, enormous living room, and decent sized front and back yard.

Nice in the South of france, a short drive to Monaco and its got more of a French vibe than Monaco. I love the French people, but not struck on all the food. Weather is good and a simple but nice beach front house would be just perfect to sit and read and create music. the perfect life.

UGH. South Beach is the last place you want to live.

As for me, I wouldn't mind staying a while at Villa del Balbianello on Lake Como in Italy. Beautiful view, and Switzerland is next door so I can open a bank account.

Despite Miami & Los Angeles being great cities (beauty-wise), I'm going to pick a choice similar to Sprite.

Monaco is just breath-taking. Tourism isn't that big a pain, since they only hang around certain areas such as the Casino. Other parts, are peaceful & have gorgeous views. Various food from around the world, even McDonald's.

Its easy to say that when you live nearby, try living up here for a while and see how you feel afterward.

If I can have a different option:

San Francisco - Nob Hill

I tend to fit in well with old money.

A apartment in SF will do me fine 👍 I'm close enough to home, close enough to a Giants game, and if I get board I can get up at 2 in the morning and drive around SF with all the windows open, because it can be super nice there at night. :D

Are you sure he wasnt describing Ireland? :dopey: Although I probably will live in a lit of other places, I do love where I live now. Although I am going to Nice/Monaco in a month or so, so I will probably have a new favorite place by then!

Santa Monica, CA. Visited 2 weeks back and made every holiday ive ever been on look crap. (I've been to Canada, Florida, Canberra, Sydney, Melbourne etc.) The stuff going on, weather, location, people, proximity to venice beach etc.

I could hang about at muscle beach aswell!

I'm tempted to say somewhere in New York, but actually San Francisco seems pretty appealing to me. I think it'd have to be a city - I just NEED to be near or in one.

Having said that, certain parts of Ireland are actually quite appealing, although it clashes with my 'must be near a city' rule. Donegal has some fantastic scenery, for example, but the remoteness would drive me crazy once I realize I'd have to drive 80 miles for an ethernet cable.

Somewhere in America, probably. I think I'd have to import my own car though...

^Dare to dream, eh? I was going to say Lakewood, but damn, Tacoma sounds enticing....

I'd live on a small Greek island in the Mediterranean. My Scottish skin would thank me ;).

I don't. But Downtown Miami is much better than South Beach.

its the city of destiny. i mean, DESTINY.

I've never seen many of the places I'd like to live in. I went to England 6 years ago and I thoroughly enjoyed it, which is close to many European amenities, but far from familiarity. From what I've seen though, I'd love to live in Northeast Harbor, in Maine. Right on the Atlantic, has the most charm I've ever seen. It's wet, salty, full of Hamptons rich people for maybe a month of the year, but the rest is just so serene and beautiful. Every time I'm there I keep telling myself I'll live there before I die. The cedar chip siding on the houses, the ocean air, the fresh seafood, damn I love it.

And I really thought the OP's choice was rather odd. Nothing wrong with it, but I found it kind of funny.

Downtown Toronto in a Waterfront condo penthouse suite. I just LOVE this city.

Other option: an affluent neighborhood in Vancouver.

I guess I'll be the first to say it....

As for me, I would probably would like to live in Japan thats for sure. Maybe somewhere less secluded, like Yokohama or Ebisu (somewhere outside Tokyo) It would definitely be a good life there. I will be away from everybody and I could feel better about myself there. Maybe get a job at one of the many tuner companies there, and even compete in drifting championship like D1SL or D1GP. The great thing about Japan is, everything there is almost perfect for me. The food is good, the cars would be awesome (GT-Rs, Evo, Supras, etc. all in front of you..... Not to mentioned the exotics.....) the video games are amazing cheap and rare. (GT5 being sold in Japan first :D) and well, the people there are wonderful (well, the majorities that is. I mean, look at the school girls there.....)

Its almost as if it was the greatest country in the world..... 👍

St Emilion, in France. Overlooking the valley down toward Bordeaux. I'd have a traditional stone house, on one floor, with a smart swimming pool. Separate garage with office space above. Just 40 minutes' drive into Bordeaux city, and a short walk to plenty of superb restaurants. Oh, and did I mention the awesome wine?

Los Angeles. This is where my work is. I'd pick a bigger house in a nicer spot, but I'd be living only 10 miles or so from where I am now.

The only other country I'd consider living in besides the US was Norway. Not any more. The country is run by morons who want to disarm the country, even the though the gun-related crime rate is extremely low. They've now given in to the lies and mis-truths of this crap... http://disarmament.un.org/cab/salw.html

Shame. So, it's only in the USA for me, 'cause you can't do this in France...

I'd actually like England as first choice. Somewhere down South.

Good lad. Avoid Cornwall though, or Summerzet, unless you want to drink cider all day and give pigs a funny look.

As for me. Well I do like where I live. So much character in the area, from houses bay windows, to the south-downs. I've got relatives in Kiwi land (aeotera, or somewhere like that), and the country is just stunning by all accounts. I do love my South Coast England though :)

I don't. But Downtown Miami is much better than South Beach.

Sadly, I haven't spent enough time in downtown Miami. I drove through it twice in the middle of the afternoon, and while it has a bit of a "tropical Chicago" feel to it, I can't say how great it was altogether. I just seem to go straight into Coral Gables...

I've come to believe that I'm in about the best neighborhood in the best city around. So I guess my house here in Seattle would be where I want to live.

Other than that, I'd probably pick somewhere in France, Germany or Switzerland, in a relatively small town outside a city. It would be nice to be near mountains though.

Reykjavík, Iceland would probably be number one on my list. Iceland has always fascinated me and while reading about it it seems like a place I would enjoy living...despite the comical cost of some things.

Carnoustie, Scotland would be my number two choice since my family originated from there and it would be cool to go back and live there. I would prefer to live on or near Carnoustie Golf Links.
