Can I also just say how impressed I am with GTP_DukeOfPendle and GTP_Wanna_B for being so high up the rankings currently at this race 👍 Incredible stuff guys.

All the best

Thanks for the kind words Maz. Like JP says - we've been pushing each other hard since we started in round 2. A little friendly competition adding a little spice.
I've got sa bit of catching up to do though :sly:

How are the sixaxis users doing on this one? I've managed a 1'57.606 after an hour, not to mention the extra practice I've had at DR thanks to the Star Wars event. I can see myself putting together a 1'57.0xx at this moment in time without hiccups, but the remaining 2 or so seconds left to the leaders escapes me.

The reason I asked about the sixaxis...I watched Ramon's fantastic current number 1 laptime and noticed on key 2nd gear exits he uses 75% throttle to balance the car, avoid time-wasting skidding and still keep up exit speed, and he carries that kind of speed all the way down the straights. I can hit 50% throttle on the sixaxis with ease but 75% is proving immensely difficult for me. I am using the shoulder buttons for throttle modulation but I find hitting 75% and maintaining it is a real challenge for me and I keep having to watch my throttle bar, thereby taking my eyes off other important things. Is it just as difficult to hit and maintain 75% throttle on the pedals? Is it just harder to nail that kind of modulation on the sixaxis because of the tiny travel on the shoulder buttons?

I've not run this event much at all. I really struggle with the slow corner exits too but, to compound the problem, i still use the X button to accelerate.
In order to try and reduce wheel spin I try to position the car so I can go to full throttle, this of course lengthens the corner and increases the lap times:tdown:

Precisely the problem I used to have with the X-button, even though it is an analog button. I thoroughly recommend changing to the shoulder buttons. The period of transition can be incredibly frustrating but it has been totally worth it.

My problem is I just can't get used to the analog sticks and am using D-pad still.

But surely Dan you can't let me beat you on this track? SURELY not! ;)

haha. I use the left stick for steering which can and often does make it a bit leery. I use the shoulders/L1 & L2 for gears and X & Sq for going and stopping.

I tried the right stick for acceleration today and first impressions were it may have some better yield but, not in the time I have to master it.

finally Maz, don't worry/start worrying - I may have something up my sleeve yet!!!:sly:

The GTROS rage fall on you, and we are only half of the championship .....
juas juas juas juas

Sutil_xavi,
Whilst I congratulate your team for such a magnificent performance, 👍 I do however question your lack of courtesy towards your fellow competitors. In OLR it is simply bad form to show such disrespect in this way, and it's something I won't sit back and ignore either here, or at your home forum.

I agree 100% with you, he is been already told off and he shall apologise for it. Meanwhile i do it myself on his name.

I apologize because I do not want to create controversy, but gentlemen that this is a game and you have to take things with humor, and even though we spent many hours playing I think anybody gets to eat, maybe the Spanish humor is different, but my comment wasn't intended to be offensive , my comment was intended to create in the team GTPlanet a bit of motivation, because every time I see fewer participants and I think this demotivating.
As such, my apology and forgiveness if someone has misinterpreted my words and have felt offended.

PD Max no goals where you do not call you bitch xD

Bah, I give up, I really do. This is just leading to frustration. You win again Danny Boy 👍

It's been a really enjoyable combo, but way too easy to wreck a lap.

well, submitted my replay...whas hoping to have some time to improve in the last few days but only had half hour or so,and that is not enough by a long shot...:ouch::ouch:

anyway,congrats to the winners ...👍

have to say though, several top 10 ghost replays i followed do actually go off limits/grass in the middle of the chicane/busstop on the left side were the yellow rumble strip ends...but this whas last week and did not check it again...hope everybody's replay/lap is safe now though...

looking foreward to the comming weeks where i hopefully will have some serious time to do many laps and get myself up the rankings again after my unfortunate PS3 death last week...:indiff:...
looking foreward aswell to race 7...
👍:tup:top job for the organisers of this whole event!!👍👍
