Igor Fraga Secures a Super Formula Drive for 2025 Season

Granted it might be down to familiarity and experience, but that comparison seems to show Fraga being abit more smooth with inputs compared to Bearman. Glad to see that he actually has a seat though, especially with how dirty he was done in that one series with that one team.

Seeing as one of the reigning Super GT GT500 Champions has managed to pull the double recently within the same season (GT500 Champion AND Super Formula Champion), I see no reason for Fraga not to be back in a GT300 seat for a 3rd season (Though not in a Lexus possibly if his Super Formula seat is anything to go by). One does wonder how this will affect his Participation in ANY Gran Turismo World Tour Events though, I assume the opening round and World Final will be clear enough for him to return (barring another race reschedule), but the rest is questonable.

It was really cool watching your F3 seasons and I always believed that in the right machinery you should be fighting for the top!

Well, I'm at Suzuka for the day and have just seen Igor score his first victory in the Super Formula championship in the rescheduled Round 10 race at Suzuka! A great drive from P2 on the grid where he went around the outside through the first two corners to take the lead, then drove off into the distance. One race to go later this afternoon for a 4-way battle for the championship.

Great that he won, hopefully he can use this to go from strength to strength in his racing career. Good timing too, easy for racing careers to fizzle out if you can't get sponsors to continue. This result should hopefully help him with that as well as give confidence to fight for titles again.

The final race of Super Formula was a banger, for a 4-way title battle it could have gone to any of them at various points in the race.

This is really great success! He really deserved that. I feel that next season he will be one on the top SF drivers.
BTW, in that moments I always wonder, why we can't have SF championship in GT7? Instead of or even along with normal exhibition seasons? Just Gr.3 and Gr.3 all over the time... Or even more, like JGTC season with old GT500 trio? Or latest GT500?! This is so much potential in that game wasted...

Not exactly the solution most of players wanted but the power pack seems to be the answer
 
Where does a driver go after super formula?
Or can they stay and make a decent living?
I hope Igor gets more opportunities, he could do more than a regional series..

Super Formula is one of the highest ranked series out there, probably comparable to F2 in fact, and it's been a direct stepping stone to Formula 1 for a lot of drivers. Staying put and building on the momentum he's got going now would be a wise move.

Such a bummer the international coverage for this (and Super GT) fell off a cliff this year, I usually follow it as I do F1 but with it not being easily accessible it's so easy for it to fly under the radar.

Glad Fraga is doing well, I almost wiped him out in the SF23s on iRacing a couple of years ago so I feel like I'm really part of the journey (/s)
