iLink: Can I do split screen on each PS2?

Hello. I have two PS2 hooked up via 4-4 pin firewire cable. I would like to have 4 people race against each other. Is it possible to do that with only two PS2? Split screen on each PS2?

I know it's possible with 4 teevees and ps2's. But I don't have that many teevee's in the house or PS2's.

Thanks for any information and detailed instruction if available.

I don't have my PS2 right here, so this is only speculation, but I don't think you can do this. :(

The reason I say this is that to run the i.Link battle, you need to go to that item on the arcade menu. Once you're in there, I don't think you have the option to run the split-screen race.

If anyone knows different, and has actually done this successfully, please let us all know!
 
Thanks. That's what I figured and confirmed by someone who played ilink battle.

I will try to convince my friends to buy PS2 and the game from Costco ($280 or $290 for console, extra controller, memory, and GT3+ATX Bike).
