Anyone know if it's possible to play in 4 players (with 2 PS2) at the same time in iLink?

not to mention 4 people, 4 tv's, 4 controllers, and decent arcade files on all memory cards because if you think your using something out of your garage, your not.

I know this thread is as old as some people on this site, but I DID THE SEARCH!! *applause for me* ..but Ive been looking to get an i-Link for this weekend cuz me and a couple people from work are planning a GT3 weekend with about 7 or so people. So with an i-Link cable between two Playstation 2's, hooked up to two TV's, you can not use any cars from the garage, just the stock tuned un-messed with arcade cars? Thats pretty bunk booty if ya ask me.

I.Link is really restricted.

A) Arcarde Garage Only
It uses the arcade garage with unlocked cars from the memory card. No Simulation garage cars are available.

B) In I.Link you can't do split screen.
It's one player per console. So in order to do six people you need six setups. SUCKS. Oh well.

C) Two players is easy. All you need is a 4 pin to 4 pin iLink cable. More than that you're going to need lots of firewire hardware.

HUB - not the one I have, but an example. Mine was also Belkin, but much smaller and only $45. I got it from Best Buy.

6-pin to 4-pin cables - Not what I have. I stole mine from work. They came with Apple computers back in the day and we weren't using them so I aquired them (: I've since found 15' cables for about $18 on CDW.

Definitely let us know how it goes.

EDIT: Forgot to mention - hubs are 6 pin, PS2s are 4 pin. The cable you'd use for two machines (without hub) is different from the one you'd use for more than two machines.
