I finally received my xport. I am offering to help those out there without a capture card to help show off your awesome drifts. Post your x-port saves here and provide me with a place to dump the wmv or avi that I'll produce for you.

Videos created:
12-10-03 [Silviadrifters video] link is working as of 12-10-03

12-20-03 [pRaHjeC's video] link is working as of 12-20-03

Well crap, I have a sharkport, I need to find someone else with a sharkport, so I can send them my saves. Is there anyone here that has a sharkport, and would be willing to make a vid of a replay lap?;)

I wish I had a capture card....been in these forums for a year and some now. I wanna show my drifting.....talent somehow.

Now's your chance. :)
I think sharkport and xport are compatible....correct me if I'm wrong.

Well, if that's the case, then I will send you some files, as soon as I figure out which replays I want the public to see. ;)

Very nice gesture bro! I'm sure many will appreciate your efforts...

I knew how difficult it is to get replays captured, edited and uploaded...

There could be many awsome drifters out there who do not have the means to display their skill... and now you are making it possible for them...

Hope everything goes well...

Nice going bro!!

Can anyone confirm this? ;)

Any one have any ideas on how to convert PAL/NTCS replays? I know it`s possible on cars but.. Replays?

I know u can convert formats, well atleast X-Port to psu. Dont know what format sharkport uses.

Does anyone know a good way to tell which Sharkport files, are the replays I want? I can't tell, because all the replay files just have a group of numbers next to it.;)

PAL replays are not useable in an NTSC PS2, and NTSC replays are not useable in a PAL PS2. This is down to the fact that PAL runs at 50mhz and NTSC is 60mhz. The replay can actually be transferred but the timing is out so that the car accelerates as normal but turns into the bends either too early, or too late, and crashes.

Sharkport and Xport are now the same thing, but still the replays are not compatible with one and other. Sharkport NTSC replays have the file extension .sps, and Xport (PAL) ones are .xps. Right click on a file and choose properties, and it'll tell you what type it is.

So, Silviadrifter, you are NTSC and so is BreakerOhio, so your replays are compatible with one another.

While I'm here, I have a PAL Xport and a capture card and a website. If I like your replay, there's a good chance I'll make a vid and host it. The link is in my sig.

That answers most of my questions. (= Thnx Daan.
One thing.. 60mhz? Thats sorta not true.. Hate to be a "prick" just pointing out that it`s Hz.. not mhz. (=
Anyway, thanks again.

U can convert *.sps files into *.xps or *.psu.. However, since theres really no use in doing this since the PAL/NTCS difference, u might aswell bite my head and shoot my cat. When i get one.

Thanks again though.
Regards. Eddie.

yeah, I always get that bit wrong, but you know what I mean :p

Ok, Breaker, here is my file. It's about a year old, so it's not my best. I want to save my newest drift replays for when I get my capture card, and can edit together a good video. Anyway, the replay is of a stock S13 1800cc, with full suspension, all drivetrain mods, TCS and ASM off, and sims. I thought this would be good to show people that power is not that important for drifting in GT. Anyway, I hope you enjoy. I'm not sure of were to upload it, I'll talk to Pergatory, and see what he has to say. Does anyone have any suggestions on where to upload this once a vid is made?;)

Edit: check the next post for the file.

;)

Leave it clean with nothing on screen. I like a minimalist look to my vids. Also, that replay is a year old, so it's not that good, but it's a stock S13 on sims, so I just thought I would show that it doesn't take power to drift. Often enough, it is more fullfilling using less power. I will send you some more files later on, if that's ok? I will send some better drifts next time.;)

Edit: I'll leave camera angles up to you, and the music, as long as it isn't Eurobeat, or Emo.;)

I could capture just the corners for you and have them be seperate files, which you can then collect and make your own mix with your pc and a video editing tool.

Or

Since you are the first person to provide me with a file, I will offer to help mix and produce it into a decent video. Is there a song you'd like to have with the video. I will mix and transition the clips so it better shows your drifts, rather than just making a straight capture.

hi im new.

Is it possible to veiw your replays using the X-port software on your computer? or do you have to first put it on to your memory card and watch it on your playstation?:odd:

I would appreciate it if you would edit it into a nice lookin' vid. I would prefer something allong the lines of the Beat Junkies, or some Tool, or A Perfect Circle for the music, but it's not that important. As long as it has a good rythmic quality, that goes with the flow of the video I'll be happy. Just remember what I said about Eurobeat, or Emo, or any punk whatsoever, and it will be just fine. Also, I will give you another couple files, so it can be a little longer vid. Right now there is only a few corners on that vid, so it would be a pretty short vid. Thankyou very much, Breaker, you are providing a valuable service to those of us without Capture devices, and it is much appreciated. ;)

Ok, here are the other files. One is a stock RPS13, and the other is a stock S14. I thought as long as your making the vid, we might as well make it a good one. So this vid is going to be all stock Silvias, and remember that these are all about a year old, so it's not my best drifting. I just wanted to give a little taste of my skills at drifting. When I get my capture card, (2 weeks), I will release all the new vids on GTP, so everyone can see how much I have improved over the course of a year. Anyway, here they are:
