This might be a stupid question, sorry I am not to computer savy, but couldn't you have added an external hard drive? They have a 120BG one for around $200 to $240. I am trying to upgrade my Zenith high-definition hard drive recorder from 80MB(8 hours) to 120MB so I have been looking.

Why would I spend $200-300 On another hard drive when I could get my current hard drive cleaned for $0.;)

You know there is a very nifty program called Disk Cleanup which gets rid off all excess crap on your computer and thus, saves space?

Also, if you have a fairly recent OS (like 2000 or XP), make sure your hardrive is formatted in NTFS file allocation. Then you can compress your files to save even more space.

Also, another hardrive wouldn't hurt...

Yes, hard drives cost bugger all and are piss easy to install.
Meh. I don't know how to install a second hardrive. I can't find any way of setting the jumpers to slave. That, and the hardrive won't fit in the hardrive bay. :grumpy:

I guess I lied when I said piss easy, maybe its just plain old easy. The only problem I'm confused with is the jumper settings.

But I havent installed a second HDD yet, just reinstalled an old one.

It has diagrams on the HDD how to set the jumpers, but I can't find any cords or anything that fit the jumpers.

Cords? There should be only one little bit of plastic with a tiny strip of copper inside it, that slots onto the two jumper points of the jumper. You can take it off of slave, and put it on master and whatnot.

Someone could have told me that earlier. I though you had to plug some cord into the jumpers. :irked:
