Left in 2014 (GT6 and GTPlanet league racing), several lives passed, and I'm back.
Started out with a G923 in a Playseat Trophy. Got VR2 next day and am seriously addicted, lol
The G923 gave me a few issues so swapped it for a RS50 w/RS pedals (separate discussion...).

Questions:
1. I'm considering a curved 32" screen to get more race data to go back to on-line racing, but want to keep immersion. For those that use both VR2 and screen, is it going to be a full other learning curve or will I gain something? I still plan to use both and install the screen right at the RS 50 base for about 24-26 inches to eye balls distance.
2. Is a PS5 Pro a worthwhile update? I had the regular slim to mess around with a bit of gaming, not thinking about GT, but now I kinda wished I went Pro to start... But would I see a performance upgrade or just some visual embellishment? Visuals are nice, but I'd like some gain for the price :)

All opinions welcome.

Thanks to Jordan for getting me back into my account as the old email was long gone :)

Don't you have any flat screen available to check how you feel on flat screen ? Before commiting to buy a brand new one ?

I’ve played using my TV, 42”, with the rig pushed right up to the bottom of the screen. Comparing that to the VR2, I find the TV to be much less immersive.
The motivation for my question was if a curved screen mounted closer would bridge a bit of the immersion gap. But maybe that’s just wishful thinking…

Ah ok ! As a VR user, I think the lack of possibility to look where I am going and the lesser immersion would be a huge difference. For me it is no more flat screen, VR spoiled it entirely.

But if your main objective is competition, you may decide to sacrifice VR anyway to get back some HUD infos useful when racing. But I know there are many high level players that are using VR despite those infos lacking.

IMHO no, not when it comes to GT7 at any rate.

Yes, the enhancements are visual-only and IIRC pertain mostly to ray tracing.
Cheers!! This is the kind of feedback I was looking for :)
