Have a blast Jordan 👍

I dont have a clue what is hot and what nots in France, but from a historical perspective, why not go to Normandy - next year is the 60th anniversary of D-Day landings, so it might be a good chance to soak up so history.

When "Uncle Sam's Canoe Club" took me to France, I really enjoyed Nice. The people were fairly friendly, and we just had a blast there. The ship was anchored at Villefranche and it was a cute, quaint little town.
We also spent an evening up the road in Monaco. Did the casino tour. Went to Loew's for the ambiance.
All in all my favorite port 'o call in Europe.

I am very, very excited. All my life I've wanted to go to Europe, and I'm finally going to be able to go there in a few weeks! We got a great deal to Paris, and will be staying there for 6 days. This being my first time to the city (and, well, even the continent!), I'm curious if there's anything you Europeans or world travelers would recommend for my trip. Is there anything that's a must-see, or something cool off-the-beaten track? Any recommendations for places to stay, or eat? I also want to spend a day or two outside of the city, to see a bit of the French countryside. Is there anything in a close vicinity of the city that would be good to see?
Here's an idea: STAY HERE AND MANAGE YOUR SITE YOU BLOODY BLUDGER!

Anyway, have fun, don't do anything we wouldn't do (well, there's not much I wouldn't do, so you're buggered in that respect) and have fun! Oh yeah, I said that already. Did I say have fun?

Don't forget us while you're off rampaging around the globe! I expect you to at least take some piccies with the digicam and scan them in when you get home, if not find an Internet cafe and tell us how the trip's going!

Have fun!

*slap* Stop saying that!

Oww...

Visit the Louvre, then catch a plane to Barcelona.
I agree with snoopie for once. The only thing I'd want to do in Paris is visit the Louvre, and I'm told that can take about a week, anyhow...

I went to Barcelona, and although it was my only visit to Europe, it was a blast.
