Hello, I am getting a 1999 Mitsubishi 3000gt VR-4 soon. I am looking to replace the stock rims with some light racing rims. I was wondering if anyone can forward me to some good rim sites that maybe specialize in light weight performance rims. I'm looking for 18s or 19s, color doesn't matter because I am going to get them powder coated black if they arn't black. Thanks in advance for the help. :)

thanks ethix, i'll check them out.
Klos, the VR4 isn't exactly a "compact" car. Its quite the beast. Although i'm sure 18swould be perfect, I don't think 19s would hurt it.

In my oppinion there are no "18-19 inch racing wheels". Too heavy. And with a 4,000lb car, I would go with a 16" 4 pound Volk wheel. And do you have any idea of what you are getting yourself into? After insurance, you will have no money left over for anything.

Your opinion would be wrong then. Look at almost any modern GT-GTS-JGTC car and you'll see large diameter wheels.

There isn't too many top-notch manufacturers that build wheels for the VR-4, and for the few that do, get ready to spend some money.

Here are a few links to get you started.

And if you want to sell your factory 18" wheels, let me know. :D

Tire rack blows, they never really have any thing thats even come close to what most people want. I wanted some rims for my Blazer and it came up with one rims choice and they were smaller diameter.

Different availability depending on the car, duh! You'll find more rims for, say, a 240SX, then you will for a Mercury Sable.

You can't go wrong with either of these. They'll look good on just about everything, too.

Thanks for all the help guys. I have tons of choices to go thrue now. I think I will get some Volks though. I don't mind spending the money for the best. And Monster, thanks for the offer but one of my friends already has dibs on them.
